It'd be nice to be a bit more consistent w/ our 3 point shooting.  Don't feel comfortable with them jacking it up all the time.  25% isn't valid enough to pull the trigger out there.

And what happened to Stu Douglass?  I remember when he went large against UConn.  Practically standing at mid-court draining them.  I WANT THAT STU BACK!!

Not something you see often in a team so young. A 15pt lead at Clemson is no small feat for a team with no experience. I don't care if Clemson is that good or not. We could actually be pretty decent in a year or two after we mature.

  1. Morgan looks pretty good
  2. This team is dangerous if the shots fall.  Not exactly something I'd like to rely on, but, it can't be as bad as last year in the shooting department, right?
  3. The graphic that showed UM with 0 Seniors and 13 Underclassmen was like bad deja vu with the football team.  When does this "Michigan has a young team" nonsense stop? Just fix it,already.

Beilein has had 2 full recruiting classes and he got to hack one together really fast and got Stu and Zack out of a seemingly impossible situation (he also got poor Ben Cronin).

The difference between Beilein and RR is people realize that Beilein stepped into an absolute buzz saw of a situation because our record showed it and our facilities were horrific while RR stepped into a situation where the previous year's record had been good enough. Also people just care more about football than basketball so they're more impatient.

You're right. Michigan did win at GA Tech in 1999 in the first challenge, but that entire season was vacated because of the NCAA sanctions, so officially it's now a loss. U-M treats it that way at mgoblue.com (from the game story: "Michigan . . .withstood a second-half Clemson run to pick up its first-ever road win in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge") and the play-by-play guy on the radio did the same, saying throughout the game that Michigan was looking for its first road win in the challenge.

Looks like a win! Go Blue!

And as far as the "games will go well if the shots fall" feeling that is pretty common, I think we have enough shooters to make sure there is someone who is hot on any given night. This makes me happy.

Good job by the bball team to come in and play a tough team on the road and get the win.

Quick Wings update: 2-1 Wings. 8 minutes left in 1st. Playing the sharks.

Go Blue!

Great stuff. Love seeing a U-M team exceed expectations with a great performance on the road. That was a lot more fun than I thought it would be. Also kudos to all here for a fun, snipe-free thread.
