MBB: UM vs. Penn State Open Thread.
That is such bad defensive rotation. Damn it.
i hate it when the other team hits 3 pointers
STOP DOUBLE TEAMING THE BALL HANDLER. IT DOESNT WORK. EVER.
They're not doing it correctly. That's the problem.
(FTR: Since someone has a personal vendetta against me or something, I didn't neg you.).

I know, and until McGary learns to do it, he shouldn't be hedging. It's killing us.
Agreed. I think I remember in the IU game us going to zone when McGary came in.
I would assume the game plan for now is to keep trying to get McGary better - trial by fire. However, come MSU and IU, I wouldn't be surprised to see them abandon it for a 2-3 when MM comes in.
I hope he can get better though, because going to a zone against those teams is a gamble.

"What does Michigan need to do to get to that 1 line"
Probably be up by more than 6 at 8-18 (0-14) Penn State. It's a start.
HAIL.
Can't seem to deliver the knockout blow. Letting them right back into the game.
It's been a lot. Its been a roller coaster that for some reason seemed like it would never get good. But you know what? We kept fighting. It's like that old saying goes, "Those Who Stay Will Be Champions." -David Molk
McGary is hedging too late which is causing the on-ball defender to have to chase longer, leading to more help and late rotations.
If he gets out a half second earlier, I think many of our problems are solved.

"Michigan, Indiana! What do they need to get that 1 line??!?!?!??"
um, win?
I love Greg Mattison
Argle bargle. Sad thing is that I fully expect PSU to cut it to 4 off this timeout

McGary just can't hedge the damn ball. Ugh
Class of 2008 and 2009
Agree Gonzaga would have a ton more losses of they were in the Big ten.
oh so THAT'S what it looks like when our 3's go in
God, McGary is just too slow right now.
Horford looked much better on that hedge. I'll live with them taking contested long twos.
CoE Class of 2007
Definitely a foul on Stauskas and/or Horford there, but ah well.
HAIL.
Penn State just pulled a Michigan. Leaving a guy open for the 3. But I'll take it.
Go Blue! Always!
It's nitpicking, but Horford should dunk that. Don't throw it up and leave it to chance.
"How did he get a bloody eye?"
My guess is he got hit
That actually looks like an offensive foul on the guy who is bleeding...
Edit: On replay, meh. It's marginal. A blocking foul at worst.
HAIL.
Played in tens of thousands of games.
I call bullshit.
Shhhh, don't give away the practice of "blading" in pro wrestling!

Gotta make sure everyone is ok...does the B1G provide orange slices and Capri sun at the end of each game for these teams? Pizza party at the end of the year? Good grief
If I tell you it's Easter, you better start looking for eggs.
Some folks call it a sling blade, I call it a kaiser blade.
Wow it wasnt a flagrant? No way, never wouldve guessed!
reponding well to being benched vs Illinois for most of 2nd half, playing well tonite

Hitting his elbow with your face.
Columbus, your tears are delicious.
Wow, 3-5 of us under the hoop and the one Penn State player gets the rebound. That gets old on the very first time.
HAIL.
Jesus, it took a weird bounce that went straight to the baseline. We can't get every rebound. They've missed some crazy shots with weird bounces. It's alright.
I know we won't get every rebound, in fact, rebounding is a huge weakness on this team. Did I ever say it wasn't alright? No. I understand we will miss some, but thank you kindly for pointing it out. Also, I stopped going by Jesus awhile ago.
HAIL.
getting rest? reinjured ankle?

This crowd is terrible to listen to. I had to mute the game
Despite what the other guy calls himself, my name actually is Magnus.
So... breathing on a Nittany Lion is a foul.
Former Buckeye Antonio Pittman on being a poster child for compliance: "This osu tattoo stuff is silly. Cats been getting hookups on tatts since back in '01."
gets hammered and no call and again we get called for a ballerina foul

At this point, why don't we just stop doing it? Why can't we let them just take a contested lay-up as opposed to the open 3s?
