You get what you put in whether it is a game or in life. The young men seemingly didn't put in much banking on a winless Penn State team cowering and looking ahead to Saturday. You would think since Penn State played them tough at home they would have really took it to them here. Not the case at all. This team just doesn't respond well to pressure which is what the tourney is all about.
MBB: UM vs. Penn State Open Thread.
They are likely already gathering couches to burn up in EL.
I'm gutted about the loss... I mean its Penn State. But these reactions are out of control. "I'm never watching Michigan again and I'm not a fan and I can't see us winning a game in the tournament and Beilein should probably quit/get fired/throw himself off a bridge..." Um these are our guys, remember?!? Our student athletes. They feel short but they are our boys.
but as for winning a single tournament game... we are playing our worst basketball of the year and March starts tomorrow...
This team just doesn't know how to play defense, and Tim and Trey are the only two guys on the team that truly care about winning and giving everything they have on a nightly basis. We are a top 20 team at best, and the way we are playing right now, we'll be lucky to win a game the rest of the year. It was nice thinking we were actually a good team about a month ago. It was fun while it lasted. Just to make it clear, I'm not giving up on this team, just stating what I believe based on what I've seen out of these players in the past month. I hope they prove me wrong and make a strong run in March.
Still trying to figure out how-in-the-hell we lost to Penn St. Good grief.
this team will have an early exit in the ncaa tourney
leaving guys open on top of the key
forget a 1 seed
hell i wouldnt be surprised if this team doesn't get past the round of 32 in the tourney
Playoffs? Playoffs!? We'll be lucky to win another game!
