MBB to play Stanford next season
Michigan will play Stanford next season at the Barclay Center in Brooklyn. I love it. There not a top team but a good warmup before the Big Ten

This adds to the game against Arizona, Iowa st., BIG/ACC challenge and playing in the Peurto rico tipoff. Should make for some amazing nonconference games!
By beating the tar out of the team and hastening the end of the Johnny Dawkins era.
I'm sure that's agreeable to you lot.
Not only that, but it's an indirect opportunity to make Coach K look bad, as Dawkins is from his "tree."

It's amazing to me how such a great coach could have such a mediocre tree. At this point Amaker might be his most successful protégé.
Any opportunity to destroy the Michigan of the West is advantageous to me.
Michigan is the Michigan of the west...
op, i see what you did they're
I will be there again! Great venue in my neighborhood!
In lieu of the Director's Cup standings, this would be a nice way to remind Stanford that they're not the best at everything.
It amuses me that Michigan fans feel about Stanford like other B1G schools feel about Michigan.

Um.. I don't think they do. I couldn't care less about Stanford and I think most M fans feel the same. I anything I respect that they run their programs with a lot of real integrity.
A lot of people do care. Why do you think there is so much interest in the Director's Cup? We hang our hat on being the best combination of academics and athletics and Stanford is the only school that can claim superiority. We crush them in football and men's basketball and that is good enough for me.
People want to win the Director's Cup. That doesn't mean that we have some kind of intense rivalry with Stanford.
Pac 12 teams have been doing a pretty good job reminding Stanford that they aren't the best in basketball for a while now.
Hail
A commenter on UMHoops.com made a good point that we should be getting another home game in the B1G/ACC Challenge this coming year since we just came off two seasons with road games in that competition (2010-11 and 2011-12). Don't know if it will happen but it's worth watching and I hope Brandon mentions it to the powers that be.
If we get a good ACC team on the road, this will be the toughest non-conference we have seen in a while. Arizona and ISU will both be tough.
I'm sure we'll be away. We were away two years in a row because the addition of Nebraska meant the schedule got a little messed up, but I'm sure until there are more changes they will alternate everyone. Since we'll likely be a top team preseason, I'm sure we'll get a top ACC team. Take a look at who was away last year, and I bet we get one of the top 2 best of those.
As for Arizona, I bet they'll still be pretty good. They were really young this past year.
Put the chances of us playing at UNC in the big 10/acc challenge at about 90 percent.
Syracuse is in the ACC next year, right? I'll bet we see a final 4 rematch or Duke at Crisler.
I'll bet you a shiny penny that we are @Syracuse. A Final Four rematch with the home court tilting the storyline towards a chance for the Orangemen to get revenge for that loss.
I like it.
I actually didnt know they can do this. Either way would love to play syracuse again. That was a great game in the final four and i think they might make it happen

That game was only good because it was the final four and we won. That zone is the worst thing to watch in all of basketball. It didn't even look like basketball.
Great matchup in this one. With the Puerto Rico tournament and Arizona coming in to AA should be a good non conference schedule. I wonder who they'll get in the B1G/ACC matchup. Personally hoping for Duke or UNC.
I will be there with my older boy, as well. It's right down the street from me. We went to the WVa game, too. Great experience.
Damn, I thought it was going to be in Palo Alto and I would finally be able to go see them play...
Hi all-
I don't have enough points to post, but have any of you read about the new student seating policy? It's first come first serve and prices for student tickets are 280 plus 15 dollars of service charges, which comes out to forty dollars a ticket (not counting the service charge). Can anyone with enough points make a thread for me?
Thanks!
I might actually be able to go...
