Am I wrong for thinking Stauskas is the best shooter in the country?

I figured it out. They lost the scouting report on Stauskas.

That would have been nasty.

Remember Beilein's first couple of years, when his offense would generate tons of great looks but we'd only shoot 30% anyway?  "If only we could land a couple of pure shooters" we thought.

Spacing looked to be an issue again with Horford and Morgan in the game a tthe same time.

Kentucky isn't  a team.  They're five guys with great individual skills.  Takes some time to develop chemistry.

 

That's why this early season meeting was so unfair.  Calipari was right, the poor guy.  He has my sympathy.

I am already excited for some MSU-M hoops games.  These are two great teams.

As for our game, I hope all our opponents are so slow to close out on baseline threes.  Moving the ball really well, though.  SC State is a better team than UMass Lowell, we're just playing much smarter offensively tonight.

Michigan State is just so much more experienced and disciplined than Kentucky. Kentucky will be incredible in March.

What's concerning to me is that our "start point gaurd" Derrick Walton has ZERO assists. This team is screwed.

If Kentucky had some shooters instead of all this dribble drive into msu's defense. Credit sparty though they look tough in the early going

If Stauskas and LeVert shoot the lights out, we should have an easy season? I never would've guessed it.

Man, UK is playing like they're a bunch of high schoolers who haven't played against anybody near as good as them in years.

You could see how the foul call made the UK defender back off and allow that next basket.
