I'm convinced this team is just trying to find new ways to lose.

Yeah, they're young and they exceed expectations every time out but how many times can they possibly come up short at the end of a game they were positioned to win?

Calm down bud. Wasn't at all trying to criticize this team. Was making an off-hand comment about the team's seeming propensity to fall short in big close games.

Given the youth, inexperience and height disadvantage they face game in, game out, they are damn good. They haven't been an easy out for anyone this year save for Purdue and early January road games. They nearly gave Kansas their first loss of the year and were fractions of a few bounces away from being off the bubble and a tournament team.

It's just tough to see them come out on the wrong side of so many games, especially in this one when they really had it. Am I upset? Yeah, sure I am. Because it's hard to see a team play so far beyond what everyone's preseason expectations were and still come up so short. So if biting someone's head off on a message board makes you feel better then fine. But I'm not trying to blame anyone on this team and in no way am I saying that I could possibly do what they do.

Just relax. We're on the same side here.

First, hwo does Darius miss that free throw.  Good god.  Are you a team leader or not.

Second, why is JB drawing it up to get Morris the ball ANYWAYS?  How is that ball not going to Novak or Stu, I don't understand that even a little bit.

Novak's actually the best FT shooter on the team.

The ball went to Morris because there were 35 seconds left and we needed a ballhandler to receive the inbounds in case Wisconsin decided to trap before fouling.

I think that's a little overblown.  Not to mention I was talking about FT's.  I'm not talking about regular offense, I'm talking about you know the other team is fouling the first guy to touch it, I want Stu, Novak, or Vogrich to have it.

Stay with your man. You can't give up a three pointer. How about missing your last 6 foul shots. There just not good enough yet to win these games. Did I mention giving up too many offensive rebounds. I still enjoy watching them though

RR fought a 3-year, uphill battle and when he got somewhere close to the top, he finally got tripped and fell down to his death.

Tommy Amaker got us to the top of the hill, and then proceeding to go sledding down the other side because there happened to be snow on the ground. Unfortunately, this occured before the end of the season every year with players far more experienced than we have now.

We are going to be good next year. We have every reason to expect it and believe it. That just doesn't make beating expectations only just short of actually winning less frustrating. It only makes it less frustrating than being more than good enough and playing down just enough to screw it up (I'll never forget some of Amaker's faces when he realized it had just slipped away again).

It's a real shame Michigan has played so many close games against good teams, yet hasn't been able to win most of them. If they had beaten Kansas, if they had beaten OSU, if they had beaten Wisconsin today, etc. They just need a few more quality wins to clinch a tournament berth, but can't seem to get that key win.

Fuck it all. Fuck everything. This is a sick cruel joke done by a God who has no mercy on the University of Michigan for some god damn reason. I can't even process this right now. I'm starving, but there is no way I can eat. I am at a loss. Why? That is the simplest of question. Why? Does? This? Always? Happen?

You claim you aren't a troll, yet you dive RIGHT INTO the #1 no-no for this board, as stated on this site under the links at the top by showing that you're not only dense when it comes to analyzing basketball, but enjoy making irrelevant, random political comments in direct contradiction of the standards set for an online community which you clearly have no respect for. I don't know what you do respect, but intelligent thought and societal norms are probably not on your list. Your shit is getting fucking old, and I really REALLY can't wait to get negs back. Child.

but Michigan deserved to lose that game, missing the last 6 FTs.  Not to mention, Wisco completely manhandled us on the offensive boards.  No reason it should have even close for them

Wisconsin just generally manhandled us all game in the paint.  Of all the games for the refs to "just let them play," this one was poorly timed for us.  Morgan couldn't shoot or rebound without paws all over him all night; it's to his credit that he produced as well as he did.

We lose by 10 and everyone would say okay need two. Well same thing we need two in a row... This team a year from now would have won by 5, we didn't convert down the stretch. Oh and when the karma turns...

I told myself I wouldn't be mad if we lost. After all, we were expected to, right? Then I could only be happy if we won but if we lost, it's no big deal, I'm a bigger hockey fan than bball or football anyway (this is a lie, I am a huge fan of all three, but I tell myself I'm not)

But losing like THAT. Holy shit that hurts somewhere deep.
