That's not a bad comparison if true and would reflect positively on Beilein.

I did see the Donnal comment.  I personally don't mind that comparison either because similar words were said about him in HS.  I don't know what happened after the 2015 season.  He had two great games @Illini and @MD to showed his potential.  Everything else was kinda meh.

Im all ears.

But if we aren't giving 22 year old Beifeldt and 22 year old Donnal scholarships why do we recruit 18 year old versions of them?

him play a few times in person.  He should be a nice complimentary player and can certainly stretch the defense.  However, I can assure anybody that he is not going to be Mo Wagner.  A lot of those quotes discuss his athleticism and length.  I guess he was long, his athleticism did not stand out to me.  He looks more like an Evan Smotrycz (only happy!)

I'll trust the coaches with this one. Beilein's early offers rarely go to guys who don't develop. Wait and see how he develops over the next year or two before I decide how excited to get about him. Appreciate your insight though.

not saying he is not going to be good, I think he will be a nice contributor.  He did not look like a super high ceiling player to me.  You're right, obviously the coaches know more than I do, but he wasn't a kid that dominated the high school game, at 6'9 and 220.  He was like a trusty double-double guy.

I like the pick up, I just don't think it is a commit that moves the needle much by itself.

He's a skilled big man. Legit 6'9" with long arms. Skinny. He can step out and make jumpshot. He can rebound but will get overpowered by bigger players because of his frame/strength. Pretty easy to see why JB likes him a lot.

I've not seen his film, but I've heard he compares favorably with Marie Curie.

"He's a much longer, much more athletic version of Marie Curie. And with additional Nobel-Prize-Level expertise in Tokamak Fusion reactors." - FJ
