MBB adidas road tribal pattern uniformz

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

We all saw the Maize uniforms and some held out hope that those ridiculous shorts were just for the Maize uniforms. It looks like it's a template.

Photos from MDen.

Turrible. These would be perfect without the tribal patterns.

It's just the photos.

I will say that adidas did an outstanding job of transitioning us over to Actual Maize in this final year.

Too little too late. And it doesn't make up for their awful designs.

These are just concepts by SportsLogos, but these are flawless save the block M on the collar and the blue socks with road uniforms. Should be white.

If I'm Jumpman and getting into the football landscape I'm going to want to mix up a few things with the uniform. Home unis won't be touched but it would be great to see the Tom Brady block M shoulder jersey again as well as a throwback for the road. I also don't think they will only wear black shoes. Too many cool Jordan shoes to turn into cleats.

I can't explain why, but I really like the away uniforms this year (talking football). The all white is kinda cool.. I don't really think the maize pants are good with a white jersey. BUT, either way.. I assume next year the away jerseys will be different under Nike. And I am sure they'll get it right.

You do realize that Adidas (knowing that we are in our last year) can technically give us three God-awful options to pick from, and this was the lesser of the three evils. Adidas is a train wreck waiting to happen, and I am happy we are finally jumping off.

I have been a fan of the alternate looks in the past, but these uniforms are atrocious.

Agreed.  Slightly different question, are they on purpose doing multiple colors of maize?  The block M maize on the shorts does not match the maize in the tribal print or adidas logo - at least not on my screen and same for jersey.

I mean.....do you really have the right to complain about uniformz when you yourself (and specifically, your buying habits) are literally the reason they exist?  You fed this beast, man.

I can picture two designers looking at the jersey they created, without tire tracks. One whispers "It's beautiful", and the other responds, "glorious". Then they look at each other with sly grins and say, in unison, "let's fuck it up". Cackling madly, they set upon their task, doing the devil's work.

Don't forget that the athletic department needed to approve these. adidas is terrible but send your feelings of displeasure to the AD

Straight up bunk coming from mgo adidas guy no. 1. I don't see why they can't just wear the solid ones and pretend this never happened like they did with the camo tech ones a few years back?

I don't get it, am I missing something here? How or why would anyone approve these shitty designs. Is adidas getting out of uniforms altogether? Maybe Hackett is a big picture guy and farmed this decision out to some dicktard that is still loyal to LochDog. Those uniforms are the absolute drizzling shits, the guys are gonna be embarrassed to wear those putrid ass things.

My god. I don't understand the need for the shit on the shorts. The OP is right - without that, the uniform is almost perfect.

The funny thing is with as many bad football ones as they've done too, I thought the whites with the stripes on the leg and armband looked really sharp on Saturday.

They have a hilarious record with basketball though, between last year's Fanny Pack/Cummerbund shorts, the infamous Zubaz shorts with sleeves on the jersey, this road tread belt crap, all look awful.
