Max Redfield Decommits from USC
Max Redfield has decommitted from USC.
Why is this relevant may you ask? USC's class was full prior to this decommittment....and Redfield for those of you who don't know is a Safety. Therefore there is now a spot for Leon McQuay III in their class. The competition is now on.

Redfields is still considering USC, so do they take someone or keep recruiting him...tough decision

USC is feeling good about Goodman, but are hoping to get McQuay, or perhaps even Preist Willis more in play. It is by no means a lock that McQuay is off to Cali.
Once Redfield decommitted, that makes it unlikely he re-pledges to USC, but thats still on the table as well.

I'd say it would be tough to pull McQuay away from USC if they get their hooks in to him. I think his main interest in choosing a school besides it's football program is if that school can help him in the recording industry. I'd say Los Angeles > Ann Arbor in that regard.

The only one that's a disappointment to me is McQuay, but that's just because he's on D. I never thought our chances were good for him anyhow.

In regards to Treadwell, what do you think happens? He's narrowed down to five. He's visited Ole' Miss already & by all accounts hasn't said anything to the effect that they are his leader. MSU has never been talked about as a threat. He has yet to visit OU & OkSU. Where do you think he ends up?
Could it be that he doesn't want to pull a Conley/Dawson and wants to take his time with his decision? I'd rather he do that then half-heartedly commit and subsquently break his commitment.
I think that we are his leaders and will continue to think that until I see something that truely shows otherwise.

I was never overly optimistic about McQuay. I'm still hopeful about Treadwell.

I agree, in addition, Mattison seems to be better than Borges in coaching up his players, so more talent on the offensive side is more of a priority in my opinion.

It must be a Monday. Personally, I still think Michigan has good shots at Treadwell and Green. And since McQuay will be on campus this weekend, anything can happen with him.
