Memphis in early foul trouble against Tennessee. This team continues to look very poorly coached.  Hopefully, they can pull these next two games out so our win still looks good.

Memphis on a big run.  They finally look like the team that they should be. Lots of takeaways and scoring on the resulting faast break. Tennessee looks shaken. We'll see how the rest of the game plays out.

What is the format for the tournament? Judging by their bracket, it looks like an 8-team swiss tournament, but I don't think I've ever actually seen that used in sports before.

Thats basically it. You play a team that has the same W-L as you in the same order. So if we win tonight we obviously go to the champ game, and if we lose, we play the loser of the other semifinal. Its done that way so every team gets to play three games after making the trip.

You are correct (and also just taught me what a Swiss bracket is). I like the format a lot better though, just because you know going in, that you are going to get a set number of games (3)

It's also probably a little easier to schedule flights, hotels and the like knowing you won't be leaving early

Well Tennessee's game is a lot more similar to Memphis' style.  When Memphis is free to play their way and let those athletes loose, they're goimg to run over a lot of teams

Michigan teams under Fisher.  Lots of talent, but not much of any system or structure to the offense and defense.  That's why Beilein coached circles around the Memphis "Arizona Mafia" staff yesterday.  Michigan will continue to get better and better this year IMO.

I don't like the way those memphis players were running their mouths yesterday and during practice about/to Michigan. Michigan made em look like a bunch of dumbasses with that "They won't make enough 2s to beat us" comment one of the memphis players made last week. But if them winning helps Michigan, fine with me.

vols lead tigers 91-89 in OT with a little over a minute left in the overtime.

EDIT: memphis just tied it at 91 up with a layup. 17.8 seconds left, tennessee ball.

Aside from kentucky, does anyone in the SEC actually give a shit about basketball? That doesn't include the fairweathers that mysteriously show up with a jersey on when their school's team starts doing well.
