Mattison interviewed about JMFR to Green Bay
It will be great to watch Jake next to Clay Matthews, terrorizing backfields in the NFC North. I believe 2012 Jake Ryan was called mini Clay Matthews for a while on this blog, which then evolved into calling Clay Matthews mini Jake Ryan. If only Jake still had the long hair...

So glad he is a Packer, exactly what we needed....and yes I am a owner, so I can WE haha...
I get the sentimental reason behind it (lord knows I've bought some dumb shit before, all in the name of fandom), but I think the whole spending of a few hundred bucks for a share of the Packers just so that you can go around saying you're an "owner" has got to be one of the most ridiculous things in sports.

I mean, if it was ONLY for the reason of parading the title, then yes, it would be ridiculous, although I would suggest several things in sports are more ridiculous (to grab a tangentially related example, how about the saga of Favre and Selter).
But because it is likely motivated in part by a desire to take true ownership of a beloved team, supporting them in a way other fanbases cannot support their teams, I think it is pretty cool.
I think Packers stock is some of the best marketing in sports. They were already a franchise where everyone felt "part of the team;" this makes it even easier to do so.
Besides: is there anyone here who wouldn't buy stock in the Wolverines if it ever went on sale?
I would, but isn't that why I paid tuition?

It would be nice to see him smack Jay Cutler around some.
It would be even better to see him somehow recreate that moment in the 2012 Minnesota game and use another player to tackle Jay Cutler, or indeed use Jay Cutler to tackle someone else - however it would work out on a given play. I would not be particular in this case.
Miss the hair!
When I google-imaged Jake Ryan (even without using "Jake Ryan Hair"), the third photo that showed up was of Clay Matthews.
Turned out to be from an MLive article way back in 2012:
His blonde locks flowing at Michigan football media day, Jake Ryan didn't mind any physical comparisons to Clay Matthews. Now the Wolverines outside linebacker just hopes his on-field performances have some similarities, too.
I was searching for a post-draft article about Jake already having mastered the Lambeau Leap.... Can't find the article, but I'm pretty sure this is the photo.
Lots of comments from his new fans looking forward to his also mastering the Lambeau Linebacker Look. Better fire his barber asap so he's not accused of false advertising.
The Packers.
I saw Jake two weeks after the surgery and he was walking already, and doing it without a limp!
will be Vikings. Nice look
