Matt Wile punting/holding for Cardinals today

According to the career stats on NFL.com, this is his first game action. A hard position to crack into, but if he can catch on somewhere and ride it out, good on him! He's got himself a nice 59-yard average so far.

He was punting for the Falcons 2 or 3 weeks ago against the Cardinals. He was released after the game and the Cardinals picked him up and had him on the practice squad for a week while he learned to hold.

On second glance, this. NFL.com had his stats from the Falcons, and wasn't updating them in real time.
Still, two punts for 116 yards is huge. No wonder he got picked up.

Good for him! I had forgotten about Wile due to the forgettable era that he played in at Michigan. Way to stick it out!
