Math Predicts Forcier for Heisman
ESPN's Heisman Predictor has Tate at the third most likely to win the Heisman this year (with the very minor caveat that all Michigan would have to do to get Tate a serious shot at it is go undefeated).

This is ridiculous

... Ridiculously cool.
Seriously though, of course he isn't going to win the Heisman this year but what he has done so far, especially considering what happened last year, is nothing short of special and something not a lot of freshman, if any could do here.

All the Heisman voters in the Midwest are going to split Tate's votes with Bryant Nowicki, thereby awarding the Heisman to YoCrunch Jones of UAB.

No one else got this? This was hilarious... +1

is Forcier going to win the Heisman when Zoltan already was promised the award in exchange for not conquering Earth?

AND HE CAN PUNT...

still nice to see the kid get some recognition. I don't think we need to start going Tim Tebow on him or anything, but maybe 1st team Freshman All-American isn't out of the question.

The only other candidate for that who could really compete with Tate for 1st Team AA Freshman at QB this year is Matt Barkley, but he plays in an offense that isn't nearly as explosive and has already missed significant time. I would be stunned if Tate didn't get that honor, and we're only 1/3 of the way through the year.

Barkley has missed a grand total of ONE game, while Tate is splitting snaps with another qb. At the end of the year, Barkley will have more playing time.

which I obviously hope does not happen, he will not have the gaudy numbers needed to impress the Heisman voters because we're mixing D.Rob in there at QB.
But it's kinda cool that he thinks it's so likely that we'll go undefeated that he's comfortable putting Tate at third.

...we somehow did go undefeated this year - and I put the odds at less than 1% at this point...probably closer to .1%. In fact I thin we will end the year at 9-3 or 8-4 and go to the Capital One Bowl. - but if we did go undefeated, then shit. Of course he hould be in the running for the trophy. He would have led a team that went 3-9 last year to an undefeated season as a true freshman. I'm sure that has never been done. That being said, we are definitely not going undefeated and he is really not in the running for the trophy. Mention this to me if we are still unbeaten after the Penn St game.

He would be Superman. Four Heismans for Tate!
