The WR "problem" is similar to the issue at DT... not a lot of top tier talent in the midwest.
Poggi and Treadwell sure would be nice.
Of course they would be. But if they don't come here, the drop-off is steeper than in other positions.
There may be a ratings drop off, but never underestimate the ability for a hard working kid to be coached up.
1A and 1B for the 2013 class. Of everyone left on the board these guys are the best players at positions of need that are looking at Michigan. Rounding out the remaining spots would be gravy if they can land these guys.

Tremendous cleared up the rumor that Massington would commit immediately upon receiving an offer. Too bad he didn't clear up the one about him committing two days after receiving an offer.
When I talked with him yesterday, I was surprised that he said he wanted to take his time. I have to take him at his word though.
I've been in contact with Eldridge almost longer than any other recruit, and he always talked about Michigan, LSU and USC being the three schools he really wanted offers from, with USC being sort of a "dream school" that the OP referred to. Not surprised that it turned out this way.

this kid isn't yanking anybody's chain. He seems to have been upfront about his thinking and plans.
