Maryland/Indiana Games

Submitted by tjl7386 on

Any particular reason behing not having a game time set yet for the Maryland or Indiana games yet? I don't seem to recall waiting to hear the game time schedules so late in to the season.

Most games are on a 14 or 6 day hold. It is very common for game times to not be announced (excluding night games) until that close to the event. TV networks want to put the best matchups on later and want to wait as long as possible to make that decision.

This is how it works every year. Most late year game times aren't announced until a week or two before hand so networks can put the best matchups in prime time slots.

No offense, but you've been on this blog for 6 years (and presumably a Michigan fan for longer), and you are just figuring out that game times aren't announced until 1-2weeks before the game?

Probably good guesses.

What I typically will do is look ahead to see what is definite for the television schedule when our game is not yet scheduled, and you can usually get a pretty good idea where our game will sit. Michigan's record factors into that too, of course.

Here's what I need:

M and Indiana to kick at Noon. WMU and Buffalo, night game. Coming back that weekend to visit my daughter at WMU and go to that game. If there's enough time difference, I could see both.
