EDIT: It's now official.

Due to adverse weather, Saturday’s @umichfootball game at @umterps will now kick off at Noon ET. #GoBlue pic.twitter.com/Xo6eyZ3kyK

I wonder how the TV contracts work in these situations - the noon game on BTN was supposed to be Minnesota / Northwestern, so I don't know if they would swap them or if this means our game might bump something on the midrange of the ESPN slate. Maybe not, since it was already established that it would be BTN, but now I am curious. Does anyone know how this gets handled?

Here in San Antonio, BTN GameFinder is showing UM-MD as the noon game on BTN and NW getting bumped to BTN2GO (since we don't have alternates on Time Warner). Won't be moving to ESPN since it's still contractually a BTN game and doubt Fox will give it up to rival owned ESPN.

We have TWC in Wisconsin and we do have a BTN overflow channel but only in Standard Definition, not HD.  Here is our lineup:

BTN - 334

BTN ND 1333

BTN overflow - 335 - not offered in HD

You should check your full channel lineup to see if there is an overflow.  The only I know about it was that I was going through every channel last year and found that I had it.

Here in Wisc - All three are still showing the NW game as primary, but I suspect that the UM/MD game will be on the overflow.  They showed the UNLV game on the overflow so that is why I think that.

Really wasn't looking forward to watching a soggy rain game in Maryland Saturday night. I'd rather watch a soggy rain game before it gets dark. Michigan can presumably play anywhere at anytime under any condition because it is Harbaughweaterized.

Good thing is they field is field turf. One note of importance in this game: Don't kick it to Will Likely. Will Likely be your downfall if you kick it to him.

I'm in SW Michigan and right now Dish still has Northwestern as the Noon game on Saturday. Hopefully they just haven't switched the listing yet and it'll be Michigan.

For anyone with Verizon Fios it's still showing the Minney game on the main HD channel 585. The overflows are SD channels 330 & 331. If Verizon doesn't do the right thing I guess I'll just stream BTN2Go's HD channel to my TV. I watched the UNLV game on my phone using the BTN2Go app from a hotel WiFi and it worked pretty well.

for the Maryland fans as this was being pumped up as a "Black Out" night game.  Won't be as crazy I would presume.  Not that it would of had that much of an effect on our team.

Well, times like these make me appreciate west coast weather that much more.  At least it will be more pleasant during daylight.

Uninteresting bit of news (except for my family):  my mother says that they have a nor'easter going on right now (she lives in Mclean, VA, which is just outside DC), but the hurricane isn't there yet.

MD resident, Ann Arbor born... Going to the game on Saturday, but to give you some local insight:

* The weather has been absolute shit all week, and there are Flash Flood Watches alerady in effect and it is going to get worse heading into Friday.

* The overall "vibe" here with any weather event is "PANIC! RUN! THEN PANIC MORE!" They have been hyping the hurricane since Tuesday. I can gaurantee this is clouding* MD's athletic department's judgment on this call. (* yep)

* I said this in a comment on the article on the front page, but it's really important: IT'S NOT JUST ABOUT THE GAME TIME SITUATION. It's about getting the team and other travelers out of town before Sunday. There is still a good measure of uncertainty in the various models. It looks like it is turning east and won't make landfall and won't be in the area until late Sunday or early Monday...

But that's talking about a Cat 3(!) hurricane and once they get in that zone, weird shit can happen.

So, as one of the folks living in the area... I'd MUCH rather get the game in early and be safe then take a pretty big chance that people's flights will be canceled or they have to drive through some serious bullshit to get back home (wherever that may be.)

Same for me. This is the first Saturday I've had off in a month and a Noon kickoff is 6:00am here. I'll still be able to watch it live, but my Saturday mornings off work are usually spent getting my shopping done for the week. Now I just have to switch to Sunday and miss the early NFL games. But that's ok since my Bears are playing horribly this year.

Leaving after work on Friday at 11:30pm. Nothing will stop me from going to this game. With a noon kickoff I can drive home after the game. Go Blue!
