Wow. And has Ringer been confirmed to be going to Ferris too? They might have an awfully good defense. Both of those guys probably could've started for other BCS teams and now they're going to be playing DII. I hope they can both succeed out there, I'll be rooting for Ferris now
Why the fuck wouldnt he go to a southern school over Ferris ? Bizarre
Marvin and I have discussed it for a few days, He loves the state of Michigan, didn't have any major offers, and he believes in the direction Ferris is going in.
Tell Marvin we wish him well and hope he has a great final season at Ferris.
I very much agree.
Wish him nothing but the best.
I wanted him to succeed badly and I'm a big fan if his.
Good luck and Godspeed.
Will do, he has asked what people have said, I told him everyone wishes him the best, and he really appreciates it. He truly lives Michigan, Its crazy how a kid from Florida loves it so much in Michigan, but Michiganders flee to Florida.
Are you just a close friend of his?
Good for him. He'll do well at FSU.
Why the fuck are you so angry?
I have officially joined the Ferris State bandwagon..was it Ringer or Jones that will also join the FSU squad?
Ringer.
GVSU will still smoke Ferris.
Like they did last year, right...
Have faith. The Lakers will return to glory.
Just not under Matt Mitchell
Went to one game my freshman year there, every play in the red zone was just a jumpball in the corner. Not surprised to see they haven't been nearly as good as they were.
Or the last 25.
When I see the OP's username, I think a lot of things. Rot in purgatory, rust in pieces, recovering "innocent" perpetrators, etc.
Good luck Marvin!
Or to quote the rapper Brotha Lynch Hung, rest in piss.
If I was the OP, I would definitely get rid of the avatar, considering the name. After what has been happening at so many schools, somebody from Homeland Security might pay him a "visit" to make sure he isn't serious.
Not too concerned w/ Barry and his minions.
with avatars and website handles for potential threat status than we have a serious problem with our government.
Is there room on the 2017 schedule for Ferris? :)
Tony Annese is a very good coach. I could see him taking his Skee-gun offense to the MAC within the next 3 years.
I think Annese has a long way to go before he is done coaching. He is definitely moving up in the world.
Thinking the same. Similar to Brian Kelly's career arc. Unfortunately, Enos earned another year at Central by beating Iowa.
Isn't that where Ringer went? Edit: Nevermind, when I first logged on it only showed the OP, no other comments. I will proceed to shutting up.
will the fsu transfer be a thing now for guys that think they wont play at M?
Personally, I'd be more than ok with that. I'd rather our guys who couldn't quite cut it here to get a shot to play for a and boost the programs of some of our other in-state programs rather than go to some random CC in Kansas or other out of state programs
Best of luck to both of them at FSU
White, Ringer, and Robinson all to FSU? I wonder where Jones is transferring to.
Bulldogs 4 life!
Devil's Advocate question: would he have been better off to finish his M degree than play a season at Ferris? I don't think it is unfair to say he is very unlikely to make The Show. No disrespect to FSU but a Michigan degree would probably serve him better in the long run. I appreciate he wants to compete and have that final season of meaningful PT but needs to weigh that against the rest of his life. Not an easy decision. That being said I certainly wish him great success.
It's possible that he already has his M degree.
Also, assume he down not have his M degree. He could always get credits from FSU, but then go back to M, take a class or 2 and get his degree from M next Winter Semester.
I know it is popular here to say that having the M degree will get you far, and I'm sure it will, but if he just has a 4 year degree most employers don't put that much extra weight on where it is from. Finishing his degree at FSU isn't going to hurt much. The most important part is that he finishes.
If your highest degree is an undergrad degree, then your undergrad institution is more important.
Such a deceitful title.
But respectfully disagree. Our HR department takes significant note.
Most good companies look at the name of the person, not the name of the university. Networking, networking, networking.
Coming right out of college, it does make a difference. I don't think it makes much of a difference when you talk Michigan v MSU v Ohio State v UVA v Florida etc but when you talk Michigan v Ferris or Lake State, it sure does make a difference (in most cases)
My step-brother graduated from EMU 4 years ago with just a bachelor's degree and now he is making $90,000 at Kraft. He is 27. My other brother makes 6 figures with no college degree whatsoever.
is the name on your degree opens more doors initially. A lot of seniors from Eastern will get looked over by major companies in favor of a senior with a Michigan degree but once you're in the door somewhere, where your degree is from really ceases to matter
If he played one more year at Michigan, I believe his eligibility would be exhausted. I don't believe he redsirted his freshman like Mike Jones did.
Hope FSU treats you well.
UM is Ferris's new pipeline. Very cool.
Can we start a new set of abbreviations since we've been referring g to them so much?
Why are players choosing Ferris over GVSU? It seems like GVSU would be the more desirable option due to their national name recognition and success at sending guys to the NFL. Also GVSU would give you a good chance to win a National Championship.
I went to GV from 2007-2011. I got there right when the glory days ended :(
I hope they can find a new coach that can get GV football back to always winning the GLIAC and winning Championships.
GV!
SU!
Go Lakers!
Also, best of luck to Mr. Robinson at FSU (except against GVSU, of course).
