Because you just never know if this will happen again....

11/15 from the field (1/2 from 3), 3/4 from the line, 9 rebounds (6 offensive), 2 steals, and 3 blocks with just 2 turnovers.

Come on, man.  There's little I hate more than someone judging a player's effort level from the comfort of their couch.  Just because a player doesn't yell and scream or has a general reserved disposition doesn't mean he's not putting forth effort.

I get it, I coach and the one thing any player can control is effort.  You can't control height, athleticism, natural talent, but you acn control effort.  Therefore, it's something you demand 100% of the time.  However, one thing I never do is bitch about someone's effort from my couch because I don't really know Donnal.  I know when my players aren't playing to their best because I know my players.  None of us watch Donnal every day in practice and none of us should say this is the first time he hustled or played with effort.

He has been trending up. So happy for this kid. Us fans tend to get down on kids (Shane Morris) and write them off forever. Mark just kept working and getting better.

How many times has Beilein had a guy where we thought, "What did he see in him?"- only to have him flip the switch and become a quality player?  We've got to trust the Professor in his talent evaluation.

I thought Donnal's actually been playing well for a few games now, although the previous few were against cupcakes.  His confidence has to be soaring and if he can give us decent play, that changes this team's outlook a lot.

Maybe this will teach us not to write off big men by their redshirt freshman year. I have a good feeling he is going to be a big part of our success this year
