Mark Donnal Appreciation Posbang
Because you just never know if this will happen again....
11/15 from the field (1/2 from 3), 3/4 from the line, 9 rebounds (6 offensive), 2 steals, and 3 blocks with just 2 turnovers.

Big Ten leading scorer.

Maryland's Diamond Stone (all-name team) with 39 points today. 10-15 FG and 19-25 FT. That guy will be a nightmare inside when U-M plays them.

Meh, never fear a guy whose first name can break his last name.

Isn't that a porn star?!
December 30th, 2015 at 4:59 PM ^
It happened because he finally played with effort and hustle along with his skill set
December 30th, 2015 at 5:13 PM ^
Come on, man. There's little I hate more than someone judging a player's effort level from the comfort of their couch. Just because a player doesn't yell and scream or has a general reserved disposition doesn't mean he's not putting forth effort.
I get it, I coach and the one thing any player can control is effort. You can't control height, athleticism, natural talent, but you acn control effort. Therefore, it's something you demand 100% of the time. However, one thing I never do is bitch about someone's effort from my couch because I don't really know Donnal. I know when my players aren't playing to their best because I know my players. None of us watch Donnal every day in practice and none of us should say this is the first time he hustled or played with effort.

That's not the posbang attitude I came here for!

It's a Posbang so you got one from me.

Haters gonna hate hate hate

He has been trending up. So happy for this kid. Us fans tend to get down on kids (Shane Morris) and write them off forever. Mark just kept working and getting better.

What a game. Hopefully UM can get some more consistency and production out of him and Doyle. Would do wonders for this team to have a viable post presence.

Lots of good news today. Glad to see Donnal take his game to a new level! I hope Shane Morris does so as well!!

I wasn't able to watch, but was utterly flabbergasted when I saw his stat line. What happened???

but once he hit a couple, he definitely seemed like a different player. Translated to more focused and aggressive defense. Great to see him play with confidence. Pick and roll was dominant today and he was rolling like vintage Jmo.

Donnal - 26 pts today.
Donnal - 20 pts in the last 6 games combined.

What does the co-pilot of Asiana Flight 214 have to do with this?
December 30th, 2015 at 5:21 PM ^
How many times has Beilein had a guy where we thought, "What did he see in him?"- only to have him flip the switch and become a quality player? We've got to trust the Professor in his talent evaluation.
I thought Donnal's actually been playing well for a few games now, although the previous few were against cupcakes. His confidence has to be soaring and if he can give us decent play, that changes this team's outlook a lot.
December 30th, 2015 at 6:25 PM ^
We've frequently wondered what he saw in guys when making offers (Stu, Novak, Spike, etc), but those guys all proved immediately in their freshman years that they had something. I'm actually curious if it's happened that a guy has "flipped a switch" later in his career here. I can't think of any.
