Is Mario coming early?

Submitted by JJB2 on

Saw this brief blurb in the O&E online...can you enroll in March and would it be in time for spring practice?

The part in question:

"MICHIGAN MEN: Harrison's Mario Ojemudia (6-3, 225) was a two-way tackle for the Hawks, but he'll play defense for the Wolverines. He'll enroll early at U-M in March."

He is going to be the real deal! Get him in the weight room. Get him connected! And get him on the field . . . he is going to the NFL after he finishes tearing up guys in the Big Ten!

I remember reading somewhere that Mario is enrolled in a trimester based program.  If I recall he would be graduating one trimester early which would be around March I suppose.  If so then there is a possibility of his "early enrollment".  I am curious as to how that would work.  He wouldn't be able to enroll in classes and I wonder if he would be able to participate in spring practices.

Anyone with a bit more knowledge on this?

Hope he gets some form of early enrollment, he definitely needs to put on some size, Scout had him listed at 215 as a DE.  Most of the LBs in the class are 220 or better, so he definitely needs to add some good weight, that being said he is quick out of the blocks from the end position.

There are some half-semester classes that run from the beginning of March to end of April. Maybe it is possible that he takes a couple of those classes, that way he won't miss any previous classes before he actually gets on campus.

I know for a fact that Farmington Public Schools are on the trimester schedule (having taught there once upon a time).  No idea how it affects his enrollment "early" at Michigan.
