Marcus Ray interview on WTKA

Submitted by James Burrill Angell on

Marcus Ray did an interview on WTKA today. Particularly notable.

Excellent quote about Saturday.

"Its that backyard brawl. I grew up in a neighborhood where sometimes you had to fight. Sometimes you have to slap your little brother around  when he gets out of line."

Absolutely vicious no holds barred Sparty HATE spewing. Loved every moment of it.

I liked it but, at one point, I thought that he was just giving MSU bulletin board material. Saying that they don't hit hard and that they usually just try to scratch the flesh from your biceps away is the type of thing that I would think would be really good motivation.

Part of any good rivalry is name-calling.  That's just the way it goes.  I think creative insults are the best, sorta like Duke's basketball crowd.  I hate to see them ever win, but their fans are really funny at times.

His interviews won't stand out quite as much then. In addition, some of the people he attracts with his tweets will really make you appreciate this place.

I've heard from several former Big Ten players, including non-Michigan players, that MSU was the most annoying team in the conference to play because their players would scratch and bite opposing players in the pile.  You can rest assured, now that Saint Dantonio is their coach, Spartans never resort to such tactics. /s
