Marcus Lewis decommits
As per TomVH on twitter Lewis has decommitted from Florida.
DB Marcus Lewis RT @THE_NUMERO_UNO announcing my decommitment from Florida. I am grateful for the opportunity the university granted me.

He be crootin.
Now has Michigan at 67%. I have to believe the rest haven't gotten around to changing yet. I like that Florida isn't in his final three.
This tells me we are in excellent shape.

Good stuff! He would make a great addition if he signs in Feb.
I can wait
Third time lucky?
Seems that Mr. Lewis committed to VaTech last November. Decommitted in December.
Committed to Florida in April. Decommitted today.
Hopefully he takes his time before committing for the third time. It is more important that he make the right decision for himself than a quick decision based on BBQ euphoria.
That being said, GO BLUE Mr. Lewis.
I'm assuming it's the case as well, but the Michigan staff had a pretty good relationship with Lewis prior to filling out the CB class before Crawford's decommit. So they had been able to build a lot of the foundation before getting back in it.
And for those wondering about the decommitted school no longer being in the top 3, part of waivering leaves you believing there is something better out there, so decommitting really means you probably think there is something better. On top of that, most coaches may still recruit you, but they aren't necessarily going to run out the red carpet for you again after they already made decisions based on the fact that you were committed once. So at that point, it's likely fairly mutual.
Who's Crawford?

Never underestimate the power of good barbecue.
I'm getting ready to "BU-buckle up" just in case.
Come on down Marcus.
I know we only have a few spots left, and some areas with no commits yet (DT, OLB), but does anyone have a strong sense of what positions will fill out the last few spots?
Related, we have 2 DBs already in a small class, I'm a bit surprised we are taking a third. That seems like an area really stacked with a lot of young, versatile talent. I guess we've recrtuied most positions well over the last few years, but still seems like an overload there to take 3 DBs in a really tiny class with that much young talent on the roster.
Top 2 would be an OLB and a DE. After that it's pretty open. Lewis would replace our friend who went to Notre Dame.
If Thompson and Roseboro commit that would fill those 2 spots. Roseboro seems more likely while Thompson is either MSU or UM it seems.
Outside of that there is 1 slot devoted to a RB, seems like Weber is the focus now with Harris likely going to OSU. (I guess Kentucky in theory too)
Tyrone Wheatley Jr seems to be the other "reserved" slot, most likely as a DE as his size is getting too large for TE.
So that would be 4-5 slots and then you probably have room for 1-2 more out of attrition but I dont know where they'd target those. It won't be a QB, or DT. Cole just filled the WR spot and we are really not favorites for other WRs at this point. I assume if KLS were interested they'd take another DE but I am not that optimistic he is leaving the west coast and I don't know if you take Roseboro, Wheatley and KLS. If Thompson goes MSU I am not sure who are other OLB options are.
Well he will have some challenges in college with weight then - reports are he is already 260ish.
Came across this Clemson site. Not one mention of Blue. WTF. Hillarious.

I just looked at some film on Marcus(Just a few minutes).
I'm not an expert, but I played the game for 10 years.
He has the D1 size and speed. What jumped out to me is he seems to love contact and tackling. This is a good thing that he is not a finese guy that does like to get his hands dirty, This guy brings the wood has Ronnie Lott used to say.
TVH, sensei of the MgoBlog Recruitnik Dojo, has added a brilliant, yet subtle, wrinkle to his repertoire, first the un-buckle, followed fortuitously by the BUCKLE-UP...damn he's good
