Did Coach Beilein get him further than Amaker would have?  I think so only b/c I think Amaker thrived more at recruiting than teaching fundamentals--key to playing in the NBA.

As Much As I love Manny, especially as a Cavs fan, I think he has been blessed by being on this horrible Cavs team.  That being said, he's made the best of his opportunity and I think he's gonna catch on somewhere down the road.  Now someone just needs to teach him defense!

Funny thing is that he has been starting for a few weeks...until tonight when this was posted. Anthony Parker is healthy and got the start tonight.  Manny has yet to enter the game after one quarter.

But I am definitely impressed by how Manny has played so far. I think he would have been drafted if it wasn't for that tweaked ankle before the draft.

Manny has come a long way since being undrafted, but he hasn't been playing too well. Certainly he isn't helped by the fact the team he is on sucks majorly, but his defense has been pretty questionable so far.

I thought Manny was too much of a 'tweener to ever get a fair look in the NBA.  In this case, I'm very glad to have been wrong.

And I still feel that as a Michigan fan, I owe him a debt of gratitude for being a high-profile recruit who decided to try and help rebuild the University of Michigan.  He really could have gone anywhere, but chose Ann Arbor.  Hopefully, he has helped lay the groundwork for others to do the same.
