for the Giants vs. Cowboys. He's caught 3 consecutive passes. Looks great!
TO THE HOT TAKE CANNON
I noticed a lot of fans wearing Mario's #82 in the stands. He's looked good so far. Although I'm of the J-E-T-S persuasion, it's great to see the old 'new math' playing well. Hope he gets in the end-zone.
What a catch.
Doing some juggling!
Touchdown Manningham. It looks so familiar.
Separated himself from the CB and slid, juggled and held onto the ball. Becoming a very good Pro receiver for the Giants.
NEW MATH 86==82
Another tackle avoided by Manningham! Collinsworth is talking him up now.
DANG! I started Crayton over him...
Charles Woodson also had a bang-up day, with two interceptions, including one for a TD. He was in on every play on defense, pretty much, but he couldn't save the Packers from losing. If only Charles could also play OL.
Now the Bengals know why teams didn't throw towards Woodson. He shuts down half the field on his own.
He's a phenomenal player, and it's a mistake to throw in his direction. A rare, rare player to win the Heisman and then continue to play at such a high level in the NFL.
It usually takes receivers 2-3 years to break out in the NFL. Here's hoping Mario keeps it up.
While we're on the subject of Michigan WRs in the NFL, Steve Breaston had 5 catches for 83 yards today.
Also, Braylon had 6 for 92, and Avant had 7 for 79 and a TD.
Dallas just ran our basic spread formation and ran a QB read with a through to the slot reciver on a slant and then a QB draw with the rub as the lead blocker. who said the spread wouldnt work in the NFL?
He's up to 8-117-1.
Can anyone say "breakout"?
Add on one more catch for 25 yards!
Well hell, watching Manningham is way more entertaining than this bullshit homework.
It's looking like Manningham might be a more than adequate replacement for Plaxico.
... you have to stop this. You're killing our Cowboys.
Blue in Arlington TX
If you let super mario fall to me on waivers i will stop drinking, smoking and cussing.
ps. maybe not but please let me get him
But if we are undefeated, how about throw back unis?
I just saw the thread about Maize jerseys and blurted it out.
Um, I think our uniforms are throwbacks.
Breaston and Manningham are both on my bench...this will be rectified for next week.
These guys will win you some points!
dont feel bad i sat matt shaub for favre
DUDE, I made the same mistake!! At least I played Edwards... and yes, I am trying to get a team of former UM players, you can actually win the the league with a former UM dream team.
from a tipped ball
the last second timeout - great day for Manningham - I know it is only one game, but he looks legit.
10 rec, 150 yds, 1 TD..... AND he helped beat the Cowboys in the home opener of their new megaplex. Sweet.
I just love the fact that Mario is taking Plaxico's spot as the Giant's number 1. That makes me really happy.
So this is why my last round fantasy pick was spent on him. I feel like a genius now, even though I'm just a michigan homer ha ha
speaking of that game. i can't believe the ball tipped off of Witten's foot. was it the OSU or USC game in 2003 when that happened to Braylon??? i can't remember. wacky shit.
also... the Mario td was a lucky break. he's gotta catch that clean the first time.
but a nice game for him! i have to admit, I kinda thought he'd fizzle in the pro's, so it's cool to see him be productive.
doing what we all knew he could. It was fun watching him tear it up out there.
Mario showed everything he showed at Michigan - great elusiveness despite no top-end speed, the ability to get open deep - and occasionally frustrating hands.
