There is little to no crime in Downtown Dayton. Especially in the new Water Street / Stadium District. The neighborhoods (just like Detroit) are rough, but Downtown is actually making a resurgence. Sure, there are still abandoned buildings but the Oregon District, new condos / apartments / hotel and CareSource have done wonders for the Downtown community.

Back in 94ish I think. Kid Rock was in his hip hop fusion pre fame days and had a following that came in from out of town to see him play at Rick's. A Buddy and I were walking across the street from the place when two cars passed each other while turning, we heard a loud pop and glass from one of the cars breaking and the cars hauled ass out of there We were standing there like dummies wondering what the loud noise was, neither of us were military vets so we didn't hit the deck. Yeah, Kzoo. Got my WMU degree, so there's that.

Haha I had a few friends that went there and I definitely would not say it’s boring. It personally wasn’t my scene but if one is “preppy” and into Greek life then Miami would probably actually be ideal for them. They have one of the biggest Greek communities in the country and extremely attractive women in those sororities. Alex might just fit in perfectly.

I had college credit I earned in high school thru Saint Louis U that Miami accepted as transfer credit. My dream school Michigan did not. So, I could go to Miami as a 2nd semester sophomore with half the Miami plan electives out of the way or start from scratch at Michigan.

Miami it was

I am curious how much of a chance Alex Malzone had during practice to show his skills. I would imagine that Harbaugh gave him equal snaps to start the offseason, but it still boggles my mind that Malzone's name just never seemed to be in contention for even the backup spot.

Anyways, best of luck to the young man, and hopefully he tears it up in the MAC. Just wish we could have seen Malzone at least once in a meaningful series to see even a glimmer of his potential.

I know the history of this NTM/YTM thing, but just feel it would be better to use Miami University and the University of Miami. I do know that the people in charge of Miami University hate it when they're referred to as Miami of Ohio. They're completely separate schools with different names.
