Making a new Mini video?
I am trying out Final cut X for 30 days and I am debating on wether I will buy it or not.. Its alot better than what I am using right now (Imovie) so was wondering what do you THE fans want to see..
Iwas thinking either a small Gardner video or something with the Hoops team.. I am open to suggestions..

From a professional video editor, FCP X is terrible. Try getting your hands on FCP 6 or 7.

I have herd nothing but great things about it.. and the Free Trial is pretty much how Imovie is set up.

I know several companies and schools that have ditched Final Cut for Avid because Apple forces them to get FCP X bulk licenses.
But at the end of the day, if you like it and you are comfortable with it, then do it.

Hmm I guess I will look around at other programs as well.. Any ideas if not FCP X?

I haven't seen any good quality, long basketball hype videos. I'm always down for one of those. Or just highlights of returning starters for Team 134 (with maybe a few highlights of incoming recruits).

Stil working on trying to embed things here. But this is just the non conf stuff without the CMU game.

Did you see the one posted last week of a combination of the Fab Five and the current team? I am on my phone and can't go searching or I would link to it.

Curious...where do you guys get your videos to make highlight/hype videos? Do you record them yourselves or what? I've wanted to make some DG highlights or something for a while now.

Their are a few people on youtube who post FULL game highlights which is where I normally get my stuff from. Also a User who puts together like just the MAIN highlights from the game something I also use as well because they are HD highlights.. For the Hoops videos not a fan of the just highlights from the game so I download the full games as well they have alot of the different camera angles which I like to use.

Are there ways to save youtube videos onto your computer?
January 23rd, 2013 at 7:00 PM ^
Yes.
I use a Firefox add-on called "Easy YouTube Video Downloader 6.7". Works well, I haven't had any issues - but I haven't tried downloading any super long videos. After you install the add-on you get a button that says "Download" right under the subscribe button.

I use a site called Keepvid.com. You just copy and paste the link into the site and choose the quality of the video..

From the responses here and on scout/GBW everyone has said Hoops so now begs the question what type of hoops video.. Maybe wait til after this week to make a mini one to see if we become #1.

- Look at the bottom of the comment box for the link that says "switch to plain text editor", click it.
- Click "share" and "embed" on YouTube, copy embed code.
- Paste embed code.
- Click "switch to rich text editor" in the same place the plain text editor link was.
- Look for a box that says "iframes", seeing this means you've done it correctly.
- ?
- Profit

I'm not that good with video editing. I have no knowledge of your capabilities, but if you could have a ten second segment of stauskas 3s with that fireball graphic that Trent Dilfer uses for qbs. That would rock
