Maize is going to win handily, I think. Both lines are better. Main weakness is their CBs.
You think the Maize DL is stronger? Blue has 3 likely starters in Wormley, Glasgow, and Henry. I think the Blue defense is much stronger overall (though the Maize offense is much better, assuming the QBs aren't too separate in ability).
Word from Rivals is that Mone is, bar none, the best guy on the DL this year and that Lawrence Marshall has also been very impressive.
I'll believe it when I see it. Henry and Glasgow have years of solid production, and I'd be pretty surprised if they're not the starters on the inside (with the presumption that there will be significant rotation).
Many observers have stated that only Glasgow can handle him. Really looking forward to seeing him play!
And I think they have the most talent on the team. Their glaring weakness is a QB that should be getting ready for the prom, but if Malzone plays well I would think he'd be the frontrunner for starting QB out of spring ball (before the other QBs arrive).
I like Morris with the TE's on his side, and if Wormley has made the strides that have been reported in the spring, I like the D on the Blue team to win a close one.
The problem is that Blue has Morris, who really should be flogged and exiled for Siberia for the the crime of bringing UM down like a anchor due to his mere existance.

That's gold
Maize (formerly White) has beaten Blue each of the last 8 real spring games.
Maize is 12-4 against Blue in the spring game event (scrimmage or game) since 1987.
Trend shall continue. Maize by 7.
They cant even get their color straight.
Maize wideouts v. Blue secondary.
Maize over Blue 22-20. Just like '97.
White scored on a 57-yard fumble return, and took the lead on a 62-yard LeAundre Brown interception return when he picked off Dreisbach with 14 seconds left.
Dreisbach then hit Tai Streets for a 22-yard TD as time expired but the two point conversion failed and White escaped.
Personally I think the Blue team wins but defense will dominate both sides of the ball.
Who knows really, but going with what appears to be the better roster on paper.
Who's coaching each side? I think that matters.
But really, Maize will be lead by Durkin and Blue by Drevno.
Tough call. Maize really cleaned up the skilled positions, so what weapons does Blue have? But Blue I think has the deeper secondary, DL, and OL honestly. Plus better TEs. Can't call it.
I'd go with maize by two touchdowns.
Without stating all the obvious about Peppers and such, I think Green is ready to compete.
I like Blue's secondary, but I feel like overall you have to give the edge to Maize.

I dunno what would be better to see a high scoring game or a low scoring game
Because it's a new era and because no one says, "Go Maize!"
Maize will struggle to score, but look to Morris to complete a bunch to the TEs. The pressure will get to him though. Issac should find some holes (if he plays?). Maize has all the offemsive firepower though. Maize takes it by a healthy margin.
Better RB's
Better WR's by far
Better OL
Peppers
Decent DL
Good LB
First QB taken
10 point victory.
Maize should win. Hell they even have (presumably) the better kicker!
And the Malzone hype train starts chugging at high speeds.
Blue with the Upset 27-24 in double overtime
Caution to those thinking about jumping off the Maize Team bandwagon, it won't end well for you...
What's the mortality rate on .gifs?
I bet it's pretty high.
How can it be Durkin vs. Drevno? Don't you want the OC coaching both offensive units and the DC coaching both defenses? Otherwise half the game is Durkin calling offensive plays vs. Drevno's defensive plays.
Fisch is on Durkin's team and Mattison is on Drevno's team. I assume they want to make this as game-like as possible considering both teams have been practicing separately all week. Can't do that without dedicated coaching staffs for each team.

I like Blue. Still think Shane is the stronger QB by a bit at this point and Morris to Butt will be deadly. Plus I like Isaac and the Blue o-line, they'll move the ball. Should be a good game though, hoping for a close one.

I studied the rosters at dinner while I think I was supposed to be interacting with everyone, but yeah, I shall go with Maize just based on my opinion of starters by position. As for score, I would take a guess that the Maize team wins this one by a TD or so, but to be fair, there's a lot to like on the Blue team too, particular on defense.
I think Blue has the better O-Line and D-Line; Maize only has four scholarship O-Line players.
It's close, but I like Blue.
PIPKINS is not on either squad, anyone know what's going on with him. Is he still with us or no. I think it's interesting
That Blue Defense is stacked I think that's the best unit on either team. Blue wins this one

It could be argued Blue has the best QB the best RB the best WR and the best TE...The Maize team is deeper but the blue has the superior talent IMO

Defense is always farther along than the offense at this point in the season. So you have to think that the DC is going to have the advantage. - But - at the same time my heart really wants the offense to step up because while the defense will keep us in the games throughout the season the offense has to score to win the games.
So I want the offense to exceed our expectations and I'll take the blue by 2
Team Maize will win because of Peppers.
Will be eating steaks, Blue will be eating hotdogs.
Team Blue. I like JP as much as the next guy, but Blue has a deeper squad IMO. Can't wait!!
