GOOSE DOWN JACKETS FOR EVERYONE!!!!

The M Den has precisely one maize fleece.
It's forecast to be in the low 50s so maybe people will be able to get away with sweat shirts and layers. I'll try. It will look awesome if it works out.

Here's my problem with the late-fall maize-outs, and I'm sure I'm not alone, but I don't own a yellow winter jacket. These games are generally pretty cold and even if I owned a yellow Michigan sweatshirt (which I don't, only blue ones) it would still be too cold. I've worn a t-shirt over my winter jacket before, but that essentially ruins the t-shirt you're wearing because it stretches it out too much. It's easy in the early fall when it's 70-80 out to just wear a maize t-shirt but it gets increasingly harder as the temp drops.

late fall Maize-outs aren't nearly as impressive as early season games. Many people won't go out and buy an expensive maize cold-weather coat, or just simply don't want to freeze to death in something too light. I think the pom-poms look great on TV and work much better than the towels. Either way, the MOST important thing is to go and make lots of noise from start to finish.

xl t-shirt over its simple and costs like 15 bucks, if you have the money to go to this game you can affor the xl or xxl maize shirt to throw over your jacket.

You need a winter jacket for 50 degree weather?
November 22nd, 2011 at 9:13 AM ^
Last week I looked at our thermometer right before we left for the game and it was 43....so yes - especially when you factor in the wind and the fact that we're not walking around campus. We're sitting, or standing, in one spot for 3 hours.

Head over to Meijer and buy a $7.50 cheapy in XXL to wear over your thermal gear and GO BLUE!

Get a Maize hockey jersey that you can fit a jacket/sweatshirt under. Game Over

Perhaps you can wear your maize panties over your head and jump around? Stop Whining!

Maize rain ponchos. Easiest way to achieve the maize out, especially since it's suppose to rain.
November 22nd, 2011 at 8:51 AM ^
That would actually be a helluva promotion/giveaway.
November 22nd, 2011 at 8:52 AM ^
Go buy the cheapest long sleeve maize shirt you can find in 2XL and wear it over you coat. It won't cost more than $10-15. With how much is already spent on tickets, parking, tailgating, concessions, etc. this is a small price to pay to make our fan base, staduim and team look good. Go Blue!
November 22nd, 2011 at 9:03 AM ^
are 2X already!
November 22nd, 2011 at 8:55 AM ^
...and force a maize t-shirt over it. Pretty simple, effective and warm.
November 22nd, 2011 at 9:11 AM ^
Why don't we do early Maize outs and November Blue outs?
November 22nd, 2011 at 9:14 AM ^
Blue just doesn't pop on tv the same way that maize does. When you drop a little red into a blue stadium it still really stands out.
November 22nd, 2011 at 9:30 AM ^
every time we do a maize out, the stadium looks maize in only one corner. So let's do a Blue out, where everybody where's blue to counteract the red, asshole invasion that is sure to take place. Then the student section can make a maize M and we'll do something different.
November 22nd, 2011 at 11:57 AM ^
I dont understand why people hate on blue so much, the original fascination with these things started with......black outs and blue<almost black so why dont we just wear blue?
PS your idea is great; the students are usually the most coordinated anyways so everyone else in blue then Maize M would be badass.

Brandon is at it again....

I don't necessarily mind the maize Gardner jersey. Too bad it's Nike so I see right through you.
November 22nd, 2011 at 10:04 AM ^
Lands end has many winter coats in "dijon gold" that looks pretty maize-ish to me.
I see a lot of people in these at the stadium.
Might be a little late for this season, but never too soon to start planning for next year.
November 22nd, 2011 at 10:09 AM ^
all the red in the crowd over the last couple home meetings between us and Ohio....PLease everyone wear your maize!!
November 22nd, 2011 at 10:44 AM ^
I'm not even mad.
November 22nd, 2011 at 10:46 AM ^
Great pics

Manball requires no winter jackets.
November 22nd, 2011 at 10:48 AM ^
Requires everyone to show up in shorts - Hoke style. Go Blue!
November 22nd, 2011 at 10:48 AM ^
EVERY MICHIGAN FAN AT MICHIGAN STADIUM ON SATURDAY BETTER BE WEARING MAIZE. Remember two years ago when the stadium was littered with red? Fuck that, not this year. The MICH family is reunited, lets show the world that this is for real.
November 23rd, 2011 at 12:50 PM ^
Yea, cant believe that!
November 22nd, 2011 at 10:49 AM ^
Is now the right time to point out there's apparently message board chatter on the pay sites about maize jerseys?
November 22nd, 2011 at 11:06 AM ^
No yellow jerseys. Stop this bullshit. Now.
November 22nd, 2011 at 10:54 AM ^
most of the players on twitter are also saying this, saying the seniors want this. Let's do this, I don't care how "inconvenient" it may be -- it's Michigan-Ohio fergodsakes
November 22nd, 2011 at 10:55 AM ^
SOLUTION:
Go Blue. Wear Maize. Beat Ohio
November 23rd, 2011 at 12:50 PM ^
That's a nice maize there
