Ah, so I take you too have a mother that's one of the most recognized people in the world and can understand what it's like to live life as a child under a monstrously huge parental shadow?

I was not raised by celebrity parents myself, but I can emphasize with her not wanting her mom around too much when she's presumingly trying to make a name for herself.

IIRC she has made some statements about being happier living in Europe (although she recently said that France felt like Nazi Germany).  I'm surprised that she agreed to UM since it isn't the prototypical private university for the rich & famous to send their kids.

Madonna's moms family is from the Bay City area. When her grandmother was alive she would come back here to see her quite oftain. It was not unheard of her to see her in Downtown Bay City at St Laurent Brothers. Its a place where you can buy homemade candies and fresh roasted nuts. Her Mother is buried in KawKawlin.

Big Sean performance with the MMB? Would be sick. Especially if recruits were in attendance.

The students would go nuts and most of the rest of the stadium would be screaming to get off their lawn.

...  you'll know when it happens. Mine came a couple years ago at a work outing. I was chatting with a couple of pretty young things from the office (who think I'm sooo funny!) Being full of myself, I remarked to the girlfriend about how those two young girls were "all over me."

She just patted me on the arm with that oh-so-tolerant look that all women can give, and said, "Oh honey - that's just because you remind them of a non-threatening version of their dad."

At that moment, I could hear "Taps" being played over my youth.

The common orthodoxy by the writers and editors of this blog is that the Michigan Marching Band should be the only halftime entertainment and that any "outsiders" would not be welcome because that would impinge on the collegiate atmosphere.

I think it would be neat, but hey, I still like Ace Anbender's video of Tate Forcier from spring practice 2009 set to Weapon of Choice.
