M Softball wins again against UMass; Now 9-0
Senior RHP Jordan Taylor extended her shutout-inning streak to 23 straight innings with a complete-game one-hitter against the Minutewomen. The Wolverine ace struck out 10 -- her second double-digit strike tally of the weekend -- and allowed one walk to improve to 4-0.
Senior first baseman Dorian Shaw and freshman designated player Caitlan Blanchard recorded solo home runs to pace the Wolverines past UMass 3-0.
Michigan plays tomorrow in the championship game at 1pm.

Domination station. That is awesome that they're having so much success. Keep it up team and Go Blue.

UMass was the highest ranked opponent thus far at #26. Our offense seemed to sputter a little today, save Dorian's dinger in the 1st.
This will be a good year for us for sure. Stephanie will continue to improve, and JT will be lights out. My prediction holds, UM to finals, JT, DS will be All-Americans and Ashley Lane will be 1st team All-B1G.
Its great to be a Michigan Wolverine. Go Blue

Although it makes me nervous, it's good to see the team get tested a little like we did today & pass. We don't have as stacked of a non-conf schedule as we have had some years, so it'll be a little tougher for us to get that battle-tested mentality we've often had.

but the other B1G teams are in the same boat as we are. They cant start playing "real" games unless they travel. The Cali and Az teams can play year round which gives them an advantage for sure.
Is it any wonder why we are the only SB team east of the Mississippi to win a NC? And a cold weather team to boot.
As a coach, I could not wait to get outside and hit the diamond even if it was wet. There is no substitute for "diamond dust". I never had the luxury of traveling to warmer weather.
