M SB wins rubber match vs Indiana 7-2

The Michigan Softball Team took the rubber game of the weekend series against Indiana.  M split yesterday so today's game was critical.

The bats were popping today.  Ashley Lane was the big hero today by going 2 for 4 with a HR and 4 RBIs.  Chiddy also went long and deep going 2 for 2 and scored 2 runs.  Lindsay Doyle is doing all she can to keep herself in the #2  hole by going 3 for 4 with an RBI and 2 runs scored.

Haylie Wagner was in the circle today.  She gave up 1 ER off 6 hits.  She walked 0 and struck out 1: a very nice outing for Haylie today.  Sara Driesenga batted for Haylie and went 1 for 3 with a run scored.

Indiana is a good team, not a great team.  So we need to be more consistent in our day-to-day play.  I think Coach is doing a wonderful job and is just trying to get the team into a groove.

Are determined largely by RPI. However, host cities are determined largely by geography to reduce the amount of flights. It is way to early toeven guess which campus will get a home site. But it is logical that us, ND, Purdue, ohio and even Ky or Tenn would be a home site and a #2 seed. We would have to be in the top 20 or so to be a #2 seed and host. We would have to win the B1G as I think the overall conference winner will host. This is just a wild ass guess though.
