opportunity to bring Frank Pomarico out to Grand Rapids a couple of years ago as one of the special guests (throw out the first pitch, sign autographs for the kiddies, etc.) at the Michigan-Notre Dame baseball game that used to be held at 5/3 field every year. I thought it was a cool connection, he being a formed ND captain and his son playing for UM.
Frank was a very nice guy...very accommodating, friendly, outgoing. Tom was originally supposed to come as well, but there was a scheduling conflict, and he was unable to make it.
No real point to this, other than Frank Pomarico is a cool dude.
