M Lax to play OSU at The Big House before Football Spring Game
After a 3 year absense, the Battle at The Big House returns.
This time we will do it the right way. Michigan will face OSU in Men's Lacrosse BEFORE the Football Spring Game, as opposed how we used to have it after the punt exhibition during the last permnanet AD's tenure.
The game will start at 10:30am and will be live on BTN, so I'm guessing the Spring Game will be at 1pm or so.

I can't say I blame the crowd for clearing out however. After having a son play lax for many years I can vouch that the only thing that made it fun was my rooting interest in him. Apparently a great sport to play but not much of a spectator sport. Felt the same way trying to watch the USA water polo team, 15 minutes and I just couldn't take it anymore.

This is the last year they'll be doing this as the new lacrosse stadium south of the golf course will be open in 2018.

Not necessarily.
We'll just have this as our only Big House game as opposed to all of our home games being at The Big House.
Then it will actually be a special occasion. The opponent in this game does the same thing.

It actually is a decent spectator sport in a lot of ways - it has an end-to-end flow similar to soccer and offensive strategy similar to basketball. It can also be really physical. It has more action than baseball and doesn't have a million rules that can slow the game down like football. Takes some getting used to but there are a few really fun teams to watch at the top levels of Division 1 and the FInal 4 has also produced some really intense and suspenseful games.
