M Lacrosse falls at #12 denver, 17-5

In Michigan's first conference game, they lost to #12 denver on the road today.

I had a very bad feeling about this game the moment denver was upset by ohio last weekend.

Michigan was 7-26 on faceoffs today which was a big factor why denver had a field day. Could have been much worse but DU's coach always empties his bench when games are out of hand.

Michigan will play air force tomorrow at 1pm EST at denver's stadium so it will a neutral site game. air force has no defense, so expect a lot of offensive fireworks.

I am one of the first Michigan season ticket holders for Lacrosse. Can't wait for that first game at The Big House. Very important conference game on 3/7 against Top-20 loyola too.

I think Michigan will have a great shot to win tomorrow. Expect a wild one.

I'm calling it. Right here, right now. Michigan wins their first game in program history tomorrow.

We got schmoked in every aspect of the game today.  But we weren't the only ones..... the Buckeyes lost 9-3 to UMass.

And at least we weren't Manhattan, which got shut out.  Hasn't been a shutout in D-I lax since 2010.

Three winnable games coming up.  Would be nice to get two.

I was relatively happy with how this turned out. They are an elite program, and they had their starters in through the third quarter. For being in such a talent deficit, we have exceeded my expectations the last three games. UDM blew out Mercer, so we should definitely be favored in that one.

Also, how about the emergence of Doug Bryant? Two goals in each of the first three games.

Rome wasn't built in a day right?  As everyone keeps saying, this is going to take a few years as D1 recruits come in and mature.  Hard to say if this was encouraging or not because the gap right now between these teams is huge.  Air Force game today may be more telling.

This was Tierney's 300th win, which he should have got last week against Ohio State, Denver was pissed, at home and at elevation.  Not to mention they contended for a national title last year and will probably do so again this year.  Michigan was really up against it in this one.  But, it looks like they put up a good fight nonetheless.  I think that's what we'll see a lot this year - this team is not going to give up.

Go get 'em Blue!  Beat Air Force!
