M-Hoops Shoes!!

Submitted by strick23 on

So I attempted to customize the D-Rose shoe on adidas.com to make my own Michigan shoes like the ones they were wearing today, but the Gold they have available for the laces and trim looks nothing like Maize.  Anyone know if these shoes are going to be released to the public?

While those shoes are cool, I don't like them with the maize jerseys.  I'm accustomed to seeing black shoes and black socks with the maize jerseys, so the white socks and multi colored shoes looked out of place.

The maize jerseys should always have black shoes and black socks. Can't go wrong with a long pair of maize shorts and some homage to the Fab 5. (I wish the block M's on the shorts today were still this big also.)

Definitely not a fan of the shoes that were worn today. I was, however, a fan of the outcome of the game...

Those are sweet!  Kinda remind me of the old Nike Air Hurrache that the fab five wore before they switched to black!  Anyways....  Thanks for the help!

Rothstein had a brief item on the shoes at annarbor.com, and he asked Darius Morris about the switch from the black shoes/black socks:

So what happened?

“I don’t know, our equipment manager put it in our locker room. I asked the team did they want to do this instead of the black socks and black shoes,” sophomore guard Darius Morris said. “I guess people wanted to show these off, I guess. I was okay with it.

“But we’ll definitely be going back to the black shoes, black socks.”

I say stay with the new shoes, don't mess with success. I notice the Adidas logo on the socks, but it's not blatant on the shoes.

I tried out the new D,Rose shoes being a Bulls fan. I had to take them back after one use since they gave me a blisters on my feet while hooping. I fault me more than the shoe since I have very flat feet. Adidas shoes run narrow so thats my problem. Had to go back to the 2010 Jordan shoes. The D.Rose shoes are the lightest shoes I have ever balled in. We just didn't mesh well. If you have a wide/flat foot I would pass but if you don't than they should be a good shoe.
