This team is lacking something that teams in the past have had, autocratic leadership. We don't have a Matt Rust, or Chris Brown, or a Carl Hagelin to right the ship when something goes wrong.

Serville has yet to show me ANYTHING. He gets stupid penalties, gives up big plays and usually gets destroyed once a game. I don't know what the winnipeg jets saw in him because I have yet to see him do much.

I support him just like every player, but come on. 3 penalties in one game is ridiculous.

Well, last season Michigan started their epic comeback the same night as the B1G Championship. They lost a disaster on the road to alaska the night before.

If Michigan doesn't pull out a win tomorrow, might as well kiss the tournament streak goodbye since the back half of the schedule is about 90% road games.

Wow, this is by far the worst Michigan hockey team in a generation... what is the problem?  There is talent, at least recruiting wise compared to some of the other teams we play.  Is Berenson's intensity and effort shot?  Did we just completely whiff on the recruits we received?  I do understsand the goalkeeping problems.

Somebody needs to stand up and do something about this. Get in somebody's face, fire them up. Once something isn't going right, isn't of making it right, they lose all the fight in them. I'm tired of losing.

Bill Trainor talked last week about how great of a captain Matt Hurr was because he kept his team together, and he wasn't afraid to get in somebody's face when they messed up.
Look back to previous rosters and it's not a surprise that we haven't had this problem before. Our core is young, they aren't ready to lead like that. If the seniors don't step up we will continue to slide.

"Finally?" Because a team that hasn't missed a tournament in the lifespan of its players, came inches from a title 18 months ago, and had ultra-flukey losses in the tourney 2 out of 3 years has been awful?

It sounds like there are serious locker room issues, given Guptill's absence due to work ethic this week and some pretty serious on-ice meltdowns. It's panic time, but that doesn't mean this hangs on Red. Every college hockey program has had some pretty rough years, maybe it's finally our turn.

thank you. even Jerry York at BC has missed the playoffs a few times during our steak. nobody is questioning his handling of the program. anytime someone questions Red I usually tune them out.

Merril is the key to this team. Losing merrill has completely screwed our d pairings. the new pairings are not gelling at all.
