I don't think he think's he is "Mr. Michigan" but I'm not sure you're going to find a bigger fan than him around. Dude knows what socks we wore on what day in the 2nd game of the 1962 season, what the weather was that day, and who missed a key block on the first Michigan punt.

from a professional organizational perspective it can't be any other way. Brandon isn't a complete dummy and is around 65 (?) years old haviing been high in the exec ranks of a medium corporation. Say what you want about the athletic department stuff but one doesn't get in that type of org chart position by flying off the handle on email.
WD should eat a lemon. I would have eaten the lemon if the email was verified as true, as my position at that time was the same it is now.

Part of the reason I initially removed the thread was this uncertainty basically - David Brandon, if nothing else, was someone that I assumed was aware enough of his position that he wouldn't stoop to the e-mail supposedly sent under normal conditions. I know that users here have posted what could be interpreted as snarky replies from him, but he seems like a person that knows what won't get him in trouble at a minimum. Whatever we generally think of the man, I had a difficult time believing he would say something that, if discovered would get him canned even if he were a popular AD.

Considering the care that's taken around here with poorly-sourced rumors regarding student-athletes, or most coaches or staff for that matter, that decision deserves as much attention as WD's decision to post it in the first place.

If nothing else, corporate America is exceedingly image conscious. It's not about how good the product is, that's almost not relevant..... it's about PR and about how the people who ascend that ladder generally don't get there by committing obvious email gaffes.
Seriously it's getting crazy in here.
People here keep reading into why Brandon's Twitter account isn't Tweeting.. I wouldn't know cause I don't Tweet but if he isn't Tweeting, it's cause it makes sense for him to lay low (or he was told to).

I'll take my negs/negbomb/banning and won't make another username. I put my neck on the line thinking it was real and it wasn't and it all falls on me.
