M in the bowl projections
ESPN has Michigan going to the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl in one projection facing Texas. The other one has the Texas Bowl to play Oregon State.
Jerry Palm from CBS Sports has Michigan in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl to face Texas Tech.
ESPN thinks for some reason that the Gator Bowl will take Minnesota. Highly doubt Michigan falls below the Gator Bowl since the Gator took ohio in 2011.
Although I rather not play an SEC team and go back to that shitty city. Wonder if any of the coeds of ASU will be around for the BWW Bowl?

Intriguing. Stuffed beavers and all.

I hope we go to the Buffalo Wild Wings game. The Spicy Garlic trophy will look good in Schembechler Hall.

Borges vs. GERG. Yes, the irresistable force paradox. "What happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object?"

The easily stoppable force meets the easily moveable object.

I believe the Texas and BW3 Bowl are both late December ones, so your rooting interest would be the Gator Bowl then.
Fishing for a +1 Informative: Michigan has never been to the Texas/Meineke Car Care Bowl or the Buffalo Wild Wings/Insight Bowl, but has been to the Gator Bowl 3x.
November 17th, 2013 at 4:31 PM ^
The thought of playing Texas is intriguing. But not playing football on New Years Day would feel strange indeed.
November 18th, 2013 at 8:42 AM ^
Yea I think it would be our best chance to win a bowl game, if we play texas with the bad greg. May be we can toy around with his defense and show him why he was fired. o wait we are talking about michigan offense. Nope probably bad greg will be laughing at us when he completely shuts down our BIG BAD O.
November 17th, 2013 at 4:32 PM ^
Please not Texas Tech. I'd rather take a rematch with South Carolina in the Gator Bowl.
November 18th, 2013 at 6:39 AM ^
The conference-blog projections on ESPN have us in the Gator against Ole Miss. I would enjoy that, being a rematch of a Gator Bowl 20-some years ago.

Picky picky. The game would be a fine excuse for the broadcast to show some old highlights of a terrific beatdown. Desmond Howard, Derrick Alexander, Jarrod Bunch. Who wouldn't want to relive that? Besides Ole Miss fans.

It sure has been bumpy. Hoke is in his third year and this is the product that he giving us with tons of coaching mistakes every week. What makes you think we will get there

strictly to see what new uniformz we get.

Yeah, what happened to B-Dubs? Time was when making the pilgrimage to the BW3's in Ypsi was a Tuesday night tradition for delicious wings (25 cents apiece in those days). When they built one on campus, I was ecstatic. After a while, going there got a little less exciting, but for a while I attributed that to the novelty wearing off. But at some point, it became apparent that the quality really was falling. And it's not just in Ann Arbor -- I've been to restaurants from Pleasanton, CA to Naperville, Il in the last year, and they all just seem awful anymore. I've talked to a few other people about this, and apparently I'm not the only one who's noticed. It's gotten to where unless I hear differently from someone with a recent experience, I probably won't be going back to a B-Dubs again. Which is especially disappointing to say about a place I once held in such high esteem. Seriously, what happened?
November 18th, 2013 at 8:43 AM ^
that chicken wings are an effing BY PRODUCT. The price tag on these overrated things is absurd, although most places do have specials on them at least weekly.
November 18th, 2013 at 9:57 AM ^
Classic case of rapid over expansion leading to a loss of quality.
The BDubs in my hometown has really great service and *good* food (yes, i know it's all the same food but here it seems "fresher"). This restaurant is also a standalone building and has been open for over 10 years.
However, the Bdubs in my adopted hometown is fucking terrible. They moved into a strip mall location (which is a good high traffic area), terrible set up for the dining areas and the food is always cold. 3/4 of the time your original order comes out wrong, and when the re-make comes out its still cold.

We will do better than both of these bowls when we win out. Just saying.

Whatever you're smoking, don't hog it—pass it along. It must be great stuff.

I'm telling you . . . now that Fitz is benched the running game will improve. An improved running game means more opportunities downfield. If Devin figures out that he can scramble and pick up 7 or 8 yards every time, watch out.

I'm not worried. When Al Borges has 2 weeks to prepare we generally have 1 great drive to begin a game! See MSU. So just imagine 5 weeks to prepare- our offense will look dynamic for a whole 2.5 drives! Ecstatic.
November 17th, 2013 at 8:37 PM ^
I'm happy to make it through this thread without any "Michigan should decline a bowl invite because we suck" idiotic comments. That, in and of itself, is a victory.

BWW Bowl is 12/28 at 10:15 PM ET, I believe.
GLI title game is earlier that day, 7 PM scheduled start.
Wouldn't be a terrible doubleheader...

Because of the huge Block Party that happens on New Year's eve in downtown Tempe, a lot of college students are around during the bowl game, so any eligible bachelors (or bachleorettes) looking to sow their wild oats would be well advised to make trip down there if that's the bowl game we get selected to play in. I like to make fun of ASU a lot because I Iived there for a few years and that's where my wife went (no worries, she is an A2 native, a Sparty traitor/transfer and a loyal Wolverine fan), but there's no denying how ridiculously attractive the people are that go there.
November 18th, 2013 at 10:21 AM ^
would be really special, since our next game would be the 2014 home opener against Appalachian State.
