To see them worrying about winged helmets and stuff. Rather than dislocated ankles.
Have all the other ones been running promptly an hour, or does anyone think extra recording time will be needed? (Weren't they like 2 hours last year?)

To Boyz in Da Pahokee or anyone who does torrents... Will you be torrenting this? Unfortunately, we're leaving for a mini-vacation tonight and the DVR's been on the fritz recently. Should I go into full on panic mode and ask my neighbors to record it? I watched the Penn State one last night, and I mean DAMN. It's a solid hour of the teasers we've been getting from MGoBlue

Check your dvr listings...it's sure to be rerun 20 times. If you're not going to watch it till you get back anyway, just find a time after you return to watch it.

You're spot on. Just checked the listings, there are about four times I can catch it next week. Ignore my previous comment, and thanks for pointing this out.

It is because of the consistent "replaying" of shows that I really thought the Big Ten Network wouldn't last - not enough content. Who knew back then that they would be the envy of all the other conferences and the thing that helps with shared revenue and drawing other schools to the Big Ten?

Can survive by cycling the entirety of MASH every 45 days and interspersing a random Hall of Fame movie or two, BTN can make a killing.
And I loves me some MASH.

Karpodiem will be uploading it to the Big Ten Tracker for us out of footprint people.

I will be watching every second, but I know deep down that we won't really find out anything we don't already know. The bottom line for me is that we just won't know anything until September 4. I don't know if I have ever anticipated an opener against a potentially mediocre team as I am this one.
August 19th, 2010 at 1:12 PM ^
I agree that we won't find out anything new, but I hope our team isn't considering UConn "potentially mediocre" as you describe them. This Michigan team could roll over the Huskies, but not unless we've cleaned up the turnovers and play better D.

This will be very telling

But with the "dead horse" comment, it made me laugh. Though from your avatar, it may be more dead tiger...

Also today on BTN (can't remember times and i'm at work so can't check) are replays of THE GAME from 1969 and 1997. Probably 2 of my favorite games of all time. (I wasn't around in '69, but the historic significance is obviously important to me)
Also some games against MSU (one of which we lost i think) and an old bowl game if i'm not mistaken.
Memory is fuzzy, sorry, i just know becuase today is my birthday and i was so excited with all the M stuff on BTN on my bday.

Last year's game against ND is scheduled to run after it, as well.

Come on man, there is already a thread on this that is still on the first page. Please do some, at least cursory, searching first. http://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/michigan-preview-btn-thursday-819-800pm

The day BEFORE it was on? Seems like you jumped the gun.
August 19th, 2010 at 1:08 PM ^
Well, considering that I was in my office before this was posted today and seldom get home from the office before 8:00pm, and that many others who read/post here are similarly situated, I thought that it was perfectly reasonable to let people know one day in advance so that they could make the necessary arrangements so that they don't miss it. I actually have a hard time believing that you would say that I "jumped the gun" when I posted it less than 24 hours in advance, especially considering that it's still on the first page of threads. Also, please don't think I said what I did in this thread because I started the other thread. I couldn't care less about that. I just hate duplicate posts, especially ones that are so easy to avoid.

I just can't wait to see the team out practicing in pads. Even though I'll have to listen to DiNardo for a hour it will be worth it.
August 19th, 2010 at 12:24 PM ^
Hahaha, can't wait to watch Tree tonight.
August 19th, 2010 at 1:24 PM ^
In 2008, DiNardo said Nick Sheridan was our best QB, last year he said it was Denard Robinson, I am almost certain he will pick Devin Gardner this year.

Thanks for that heads up! will definetly be watching that!
