Glad they are doing it against a Top-10 opponent instead of Slippery Rock.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's basketball team announced Thursday (Nov. 8) that it will unveil its 2012 Big Ten regular-season championship banner prior to the Big Ten/ACC Challenge game against North Carolina State on Nov. 27 at Crisler Center.

When did the Michigan vs NCState game get set up?  I was just looking at the B1G vs ACC challenge games and Michigan, as the 3rd ranked team in the B1G gets the top ranked ACC team, while IU and OSU get the 2nd and 3rd ranked teams respectively.   Seems wierd to not do top ranked vs top ranked.

Like someone already mentioned, this is probably a good game to do this.

I am rather excited for the Challenge this year actually - the Big Ten has won the last three, as I recall, after losing all of the previous challenges since the inception of the Big Ten-ACC Challenge in 1999. Hopefully, the conference makes another good showing and we do well.

In reference to the matchups, as someone brought it up, they are more or less all over the place. Last year, for example, Ohio State (#2 at the time) played a #4 Duke and a #5 Tar Heel team played Wisconsin, ranked #7 at that point. Michigan played an unranked Virginia team. In 2010, a top-ranked Duke team played the second-highest ranked Big Ten team (MSU that time).
