M Baseball Listed In Top 10 Upsets

For those of you unfamiliar with Eric Sorenson, he's THE personality when it comes to college baseball. He is Herbie, Corso, Fowler, Holtz, Griese, Patrick, James, Musburger, Lundquist, Forde, Maisel, Rittenberg, Brian Cook, Orson Swindle, Peter Bean, everyone. He's working through top 10 lists of the 00's decade of college baseball to kill the off season time when he's not working college football games. His most recent list is top 10 upsets and Michigan comes in at #5.
The next season his Wolverines came into the Nashville Regional confident they could play with… er, I mean, beat the Commodores. And they did, twice, on VU’s home field. The name Alan Oaks will be much-reviled in the Music City, after sending a David Price fastball 380-feet over the left field wall to account for the winning run in the 10th inning of the final game (and giving Price his only loss that season).
Michigan came in as the last #2 seed (#32 in bracket) and knocked off the #1 overall seed. This isn't like a #1 vs #2 in basketball's NCAA tourney. With the expectations going into this series, Michigan's upset would be like a 2/15 or 3/14 upset in the basketball tournament. It was that big. That game put Michigan, and even the BigTen back in the spot light in the national media. It was awesome.
