LSU offers Laquon Treadwell [edit: now going to visit LSU]

Submitted by kaykaybroke on

All over twitter... from allen treiu:

Laquon Treadwell: "With this LSU offer it might shake up my recuriting just a little bit, who knows?"

Think this drags out his recruitment even longer? He seems really excited about this offer.

This is getting old! Michigan will have at least one if not two scholarships available on national signing day. Sam Webb and all the other recruiting services don't have a fucking clue what the Michigan coaches are thinking. I find it funny that people pay money to read so called insider information.

flirted with Michigan more than Treadwell. This is a GAME and he plays it to the hilt. I don't care who he picks but to constantly talk about Michigan being his leader, how he loves Michigan, I know Michigan is the right place for me, etc gets a little tiresome. Don't say anything. Take your visits. Don't talk about leaders. Come see us on signing day. He may be 17 years old but he needs a tutor. Maybe a Michigan tutor. Lol.

Phil.  I didn't neg you, nor do I have baited breath to do so.  You got negged because, lol or not, you got all hot and bothered that Laquon Treadwell is playing with your emotions.  Also, I think you meant to say you "couldn't care less."  If you could care less, that means you care some, maybe a lot.  I could care less about my family, for example, because I care about them quite a bit.   Lastly, I didn't scold you.  I merely pointed out the silliness of your "How DARE he!" post.

Ease up man, only one more day till the weekend.

Someone to make a comment without jumping all over it. Maybe I'm not entitled to have a comment on this board. Maybe I'm too damn narrow minded. So what. Now that you mention it I am upset. You can say what you want but the bottom line is it happens all over this blog when people want to share an opinion and some other people have to front them out. Just post what you want to say and I'll post what I want to say. No need to criticize my opinion. You don't know me. You don't know squat about me. Now can we be friends?

We visited Baton Rouge during our trip to the Sugar Bowl.

It is an absolute shit hole.  For a kid from the "North", I wouldn't be worried at all about LSU.  If anything, he will realize just how shitty / hot it is down there and re-think taking any more visits.

It would be great if Treadwell joins the class, but either way I'm confident we'll get 2 good players to fill those remaining slots

People have the rights to visit wherever they want to visit.

In my opinion team chemistry is more important than individual talent. We have seen enough prima donna.

He would be stupid not to go there. Didn't you guys hear that after the championship game, LSU is changing their field from 100 yards to only 50? He could get buku touchdowns!

Ace already tore into my ass on twitter for saying this kids loves attention, but hey that's my opinion and I'm sticking to it. I remember being a 17 year old kid myself I loved attention then and don't mind it too much now.

A bag of cash and a new car are nice things for an 18 year old kid. Funny that the Big Ten has two teams on lock down and the filthiest and cheatin'-est conference since the dawn of time just keeps playing free of restriction.

I unfortunately live in Baton Rouge now and am always left wondering why LSU would be a huge draw for out of state recruits.  It must be to play in the SEC and a perceived guaranteed path to the NFL (Which is never guaranteed anywere).  The campus is actually pretty and the game atmosphere is insane, but check out some of these beautiful statistics BR has for incoming recruits.

1.  Ranked the 16th most dangerous city in the U.S. per the FBI.  See link for a local article about crime.  Important because the campus is pretty much part of the city, similar to Michigan.

2.  The other nearest city to hang out, New Orleans is ranked the 13th most dangerous U.S. city per the FBI.

3.  Louisiana U.S. STD rankings.  #1 for syphillis, #3 for Chlamydia, #2 for Gonorrhea, and #1 rate of new AIDS cases.  Nothing says come sew your oates young men like these numbers.

4.  As a topper, the area along the Mississippi between New Orleans and Baton Rouge is nicknamed CANCER ALLEY.

Yes people, there is a hell on earth, and it is called Baton Rouge.  Please come play football here!

*I'm sorry if I have offended anyone.  Just reporting statistics.  In all fairness, they do have some of the best food in the country.  So there is that.

for LT, but we've learned that Hoke's patience is limited.  I know he's not a commit yet, if he were, Hoke would tell him to cool the visits.  That has been his pattern and he's been consistent with it.  I think Hoke takes the next good WR prospect on our list who WANTS to play for Michigan, and rightly so.
