Solid matchup...surprised no one has tuned in to watch Clemson face Louisville with the Old Engligh font in size 6 font size nameplates. Jerseys sponsored by Reynolds Wrap.

Joe Tessitore has sounded pretty boring so far. A lot of silence and indifference when a big play actually happens.

Also, good lord. Louisville's uniforms are one of the worst ive seen. The helmets are okay, but the rest makes me want to puke.

Clemson actually has a surprisingly easy schedule this year. ND and FSU are the only real big tests.

So this is either the year Clemson finally breaks through and has a great year, or we're in store for a really great Clemsoning soon

Clemson is benefitting from the fact that they're a decent team from "SEC state," but they have no business being ranked #11. Michigan would beat these guys by a comfortable margin.

Easy, Dawkins. We have seen Michigan play two games and the one they played against a good team, they lost. Michigan has a long way to go from being great. It might not even happen this year.

Watching Denver vs. Kansas City. Is Peyton done? He has been not good. Have him in fantasy and picked up Mariota on waivers cause Peyton looked so bad week one. His poor play goes back to last year and I don't see improvement.

that arm is just sad now. A simple 5 yard out takes forever to get there. On the pick-six he underthrew it really bad but had it been on target it was still such a lob that nothing was guaranteed with the safety coming to help. He's still a great QB mind and a better option than that of 20 teams but he's done. The days of him being the QB/OC/magician gunslinger guy are over. I don't play fantasy but he's not a fantasy QB anymore. They'll go as far as their defense takes them.

Mentally, no. Still one of the best field generals in the game, but you can just tell his arm is nowhere near what it used to be.

He will still at least will his team to a wild card spot because he's Peyton Manning, but I don't think he'll ever play for another Super Bowl. He's got a long career of commentating and selling Papa John's Pizzas in front of him.

but I think he will still have a decent year. I have Big Ben and picked up Mariota in my 3rd to last pick as a possible investment. I am in a +1 PPR league and 2 IDP. Picked up JJWATT BANG BANG CHICKEN AND SHRIMP. My fantasy blunder is this... I have Sproles and Lamar Miller and one flex position. (my other RB's are Forte and J Hill) any thoughts?

John Schnatter put in a huge chunck of change to see his hometown stadium built.  Schnellenberger dreamt about it and got the ball rolling, but it was Papa John that ensured the stadium would be built.  And a rather nice medium sized stadium it is.  Of course almost any stadium is better than the crap Cardinal Stadium at which they used to play.

Meh I'm watching last night's Masterchef episode with a 6pack of St Pauli Girl. I'm trying to take a break on sports betting and I don't have any fantasy guys going. It's hard for me to watch a game I'm not invested in

I wouldn't say that's the only reason. Millions of people can cheer on professional sports teams from their home city without without feeling left out of the cool club for not attending school there. I've never heard the term "Walmart Whitesox" etc. Also, daily fantasy leagues are on top of the fantasy world right now and they have college fantasy leagues too. Whole metroplexes can identify with professional teams and feel part of something bigger than themselves without feeling inferior or that they don't belong. A city can be divided 50 different ways as far as what college they attended if they attended at all. And that, folks, is the main reason the highly rated NFL is more popular than NCAA football.

I was traveling a few weeks ago for business in Arizona and I heard two guys arguing about Arizona State football in the bar. The less knowledgeable one about the football program finally said..." Hey buddy, I got my masters there. I didn't just buy a tshirt at Walgreens"

Very few arguments about professional sports teams will end in... " Hey buddy, I played for the Lions. I didn't just buy a shirt from Walgreens".

and why I don't play. I played one year in a big $20 league but stopped sending in my roster a few weeks in. Unless you homer out and pick your favorite team's roster (lol) you have to root against your own fandom? I wanted to win so I had to draft that way and I had Rodgers, Peterson, A Packer WR made rich by Rodgers, etc. I couldn't truly enjoy the Lions and NFL anymore, both of which I hardly care about anyway. I gave up my $20 to care about the Lions haha. One couldn't pay me to play CFB fantasy. It'd have to be 100% Michigan exempt in every way, even by proxy and degrees of influence.

They bring the purple back.  I have and will continue to bring this up in every thread that involves Clemson until they fix it.  Football has enough orange and white teams and no orange and purple teams even though it looks amazing.  They need to own that shit and wear it with pride.
