landing spot. will be interesting to see how he does.

I am surprised that a program hasn't thrown money at him a long time ago to be a HC.
YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!
They should, the man is overdue for a head coach job and Louisville is a solid one, better than the Uconn job he turned down. I see this one going to Petrino though. WKU has apparently already interviewed his OC as a replacement.
Which makes one wonder WHY Louisville would want a guy who's already left once.
Hopefully Narduzzi is interviewed and impresses UL officials - where they see another Charlie Strong. Anything to get Pat out of our hair.
FWIW - all of the comments on there are saying inside sources say Petrino has the Louisville job as a done deal.
Yeah. ESPN just put out that Petrino has been offered the job.
Who wouldn't want Petrino back?
Thanks to LSU Freek.
Petrino content is the best.
Jeebus. Please return to Louisville asap. Or take over my Temple Owls.
Watch this GIF while listening to "Goodbye Horses." My phone rang the second I saw this. It's my ringtone, which makes people comically uncomfortable when it goes off in public. Then I shoot them a sheepish grin. I cackle every time.
I know the reaction you're talking about. I slip "Goodbye Horses" into playlists during parties or carpools for the same reason.
Do you then come out of a bedroom, penis in tuck, wearing lipstick and a maroon frock? Yeah, that gets mixed reactions.
Gotta feel bad for Louisville. Such a gateway job.
It's NOT a gateway job. Also, not a single person has died from overdosing Louisville job.
Fuck you, man. My dad died from overdosing on Louisville job.
Washington and Colorado are taking big steps to legalize Louisville job, why not us too? It's clear that we're losing the War on Louisville Job and it's costing us billions every year fighting it.
Don't bogart that Louisville Job, man. Pass it to Pat.
Theyre also thinking about bringing Petrino back.
Maybe I'm being naive regarding the win at all costs mentality but it still blows me away that any school would consider hiring Petrino after the crap he's pulled. I guess it's one thing for a WKU to hire him knowing full well they would never get a shot at a name like Petrino absent all the recent baggage. just surprised Louisville would stoop to that considering they have been a pretty damn good program and with their returning talent could probably attract a Narduzzi or other pretty decent name to come in.
Petrino wants the job. He interviewed for the job today. Sources say the coordinator at WKU was asked to be the new head coach of WKU. So the chances that Narduzzi goes there about about slim to none. I'd bet heavily on the Narduzzi isn't going there side.
who is Narduzzo?
ok, i'm kidding. but i do hope we have a lot more posts about him, he is my favorite guy.
Whoa Coach Schiano, just because you got fired doesn't mean you have to be jealous. We're sorry there's no threads to start about you, but nobody wants you.
douchebag. They should move beyond Petrino. With so many good candidates out there, UoL should not be that desperate to hire a coach who had put his mistress on the payroll.
Wasn't she on the payroll before she was his mistress?
I guess he would be slightly less of a douchebag if she was already on the payroll.
And did you wait 4.5 years to make this post? (noting 1 MGoPoint)
I have been neged to death.
I think people are just negging you to keep you at 0.
with someone living in Louisville on Monday. According to him, everyone down there wants Petrino... he was pushing for Tressel! His logic was you take the pressure off by knowing up front your first five games are losses (show cause) and that Tressel could immediately shore up recruiting and "bring respectibility."
Did I forget to mention the guy is an OSU grad? LOL....
I hope he leaves, but it shouldn't take a coordinator/coach leaving another school for Michigan to beat someone. If Michigan is to get back to an elite level, we won't worry about things like this so much. (not directed at the OP - but any Michigan fan that seems to wishing ever so dearly he leaves).
I'll always be ok with teams we play getting worse.
I don't really care if Narduzzi stays at MSU or leaves, but how the hell does the AD at Louisville go from a guy with a squeaky clean image (true or not) to Petrino?
So Petrino will get this job and in 3 years or less after Bielema gets fired he will be back at Arkansas
Then crash another motorcycle.
I wouldn't be upset if Narduzzi left.
Petrino? Hide your hot interns.
And your 6s, apparently.
Judging by the amout of upvotes this is very funny...but I must admit I don't get it (but would like to)
6s like a pilot watches their '6'?
I think he means like a girl that is 6/10...but idk I don't think I get it either
I'm also lost. But I don't want to be.
The chick that was his mistress was decent-looking but not that hot, probably a 6.
On my computer, the picture is stretched giving her a long face and teeth. She looks like she could be John Elway's lovechild.

In 8 seasons at Louisville and Arkansas, Bobby Petrino finished in the top-6 of the AP poll 3 times. In 13 seasons at Michigan, Lloyd Carr finished in the top-6 of the AP poll 3 times.
Yet some people here think they would be dumb to hire him again just because he tried to have sex with a Mac Tonight lookalike he wasn't married to.
I love your posts.
You sell Petrino short my man. He did not "try" to have sex with his young assistant something-or-other. He SUCCEEDED in doing so by all accounts!
Just like excellence on the gridiron as you so accurately state. When Bobby P sets his mind to something it's as good as done.
If Bobby Petrino was hired to represent the University of Michigan, I would have a conniption. He is a good coach. That is not enough.
You can rest easy my friend. RichRod has a better chance of getting rehired here than Bobby Petrino would.
Ah yes, the not at all arbitrary "How many times did you finish in the top 6?" criterion. How carefully did you have to cherry-pick for this weird attempt to criticize Lloyd Carr? Reminder: Lloyd won a national title, won five Big Ten titles, went 19-8 against top 10 teams (IIRC), and ran one of the cleanest programs around. But carry on.
And owned Staee and Ohio, at least until Vestie. And I maintain Vestie's success was at least patially due to some rule bending.
I love Lloyd.
Bending? Like the mafia 'bends' tax laws?
I'm a huge fan of Coach Carr, both on the field and off. I find it embarrassing and shameful that some of the M fanbase wanted him gone. He was and will always be a great man.
I can't stop laughing at the Mac Tonight reference. When I was in elementary school, a friend of mine dressed up as Mac Tonight for Halloween. It was actually a pretty cool costume.
Are two things I value more than wins and losses when it comes to who represents my university as head football coach. Ideally you get the complete package, but I'd take Carr (or hoke) over petrino any day of the week.
with their BB coach.
Will he have access to Louisville's veterinary program and the horse pills he's obviously giving to his defense. C'mon man. Nar-Dawg is going nowhere.
... and never have to face him again.
My goodness, can this talk get more pathetic? I enjoy reading many conversations here but this is getting stupid. We're posting updates on other assistant coaches and hope they get hired somewhere else?
Does everyone really think Pat Narduzzi is our worst problem? We were feeble this year with dysfunction at multiple positions. Our problem is ourselves and that's where we need to focus. Everyone chill out and see what Hoke and staff are able to do. We have to get better and it has nothing to do with other teams.
Otherwise you become like state fan and obsess about crap like this and spend more time rooting against others than rooting for your own team.
He's considered perhaps the best coordinator in the country and is a big part of the reason that a major rival has beaten us like 5 of 6. It matters. I'll help him pack.
And a Narduzzi is one.
As a Michigan Fan, a sports fan, and an athlete... I always want to beat the best at their best. No excuses. If we truly think that one coach leaving is all it will take for Michigan to beat a rival I think that is pretty pathetic. And I don't think anyone inside the program would be thinking that way or appreciate selling them so short on the field.
I mean really are some of us suggesting "Man if we could just get rid of MSU's Defensive Coordinator we could beat them again, and that would be awesome!"
Not the way I view sports, and I don't think we ever should... I want to beat you on the field on your best day, and my preparation was better and that's why I won... nothing less. If I don't win, that's on me and my preperation... I worry about myself not the other guys.
Get some more reps in boys, put on some muscle and go out there and beat the best.
If MSU is really interested in Narduzzi being Dantonio's replacement, it seems that it would be beneficial for them to let him go and get some head coaching experience before taking over, not to mention give them an idea of what kind of head coach he could be.
I forget exactly where it was mentioned, but at some point Pat Narduzzi's Wiki page was edited to say that he was the head coach of the Louisville Cardinals and had also been named "the luckiest man alive". Supposedly, it was quickly reversed, but obviously upo long enough that it became newsworthy. It definitely speaks to the idea that some would rather he just took a head coaching position somewhere already.
There was also an ESPN report that said Narduzzi had already interviewed, but I couldn't find confirmation of that. What I did see is that Louisville wants the position filled yesterday basically, so whatever happens might happen soon.
reported the he interviewed
That people think msu's defense will all of a sudden be different when/if Narduzzi leaves is comical. This defense is Dantonio's.
Agreed. I think Narduzzi is a very good coordinator, but Dantonio was a DC for OSU when they won the title.
Could be, but you never know. Bo Pelini was a very successful DC, but as a HC he's fielded much worse defenses. Even if the HC is defensive-minded, it seems you need a good guy calling the signals.
Narduzzi, the white Charlie Strong
I'm going to guess that the Dantonio/Narduzzi combo will be around for at least another season. If MSU puts together back to back seasons of winning the BIG or at least highly competing for it, I think then Narduzzi is gone.
Narduzzi stays and Michigan beats him year after year.
I am fairly confident that Narduzzi will remain at MSU and is waiting for Dantonio to retire.
Even if Narduzzi wants the MSU job eventually, that doesn't mean he couldn't go elsewhere (Louisville, as it were ) for a few years. How many does Dantonio have left in him? 5?
hire Al Borges as his offensive coordinator. That would be like killing two Cardinals with one strong stone.
and an official decision hasn't been totally made yet.
Word is it's down to Petrino, Narduzzi and Chad Morris from Clemson as the final 3 candidates. Petrino is supposedly a near lock as long as the regents approve it.
I think from Louisville's point of view, Petrino will come in and win ball games and will take them back to his glory days there when they put up 50 points every game. Louisville fans got really frustrated watching an offense with Teddy Bridgewater and great receivers only put up 24 points in many games and would welcome Petrino back openly.
The AD is probably thinking that Petrino has been shamed enough already and was humbled to keep things in check. He's always been fine with NCAA rules and with player grades, but in his first Louisville stint he kept trying to find something better and eventually landed the Falcons...which went poorly. Plus his buyout at Arkansas was an insane 18 million and I doubt it'll be less if he goes back to Louisville. They will probably load the contract in such a way that it'd take another NFL job at minimum for him to leave early again.
But the dude can coach, and if hired Louisville will be winning games still.
