This is an event for Michigan commits, their families, the coaches, and the whole Michigan brotherhood.

We don't need any more of Holthz's commentary on how great Notre Dame is.  Not this day.

Invite him back when we get Notre Dame on the schedule.  I'll appreciate his lisp more when explaining why ND is losing, and half-hearted hack comments on how ND will come back to win it.

You are forgetting/overlooking the fact that he coached at ND, still gushes about ND every chance he gets, picks ND to win the national championship every year, etc.

There are football guys on TV all the time from UM (Eisen, Desmond off the top of my head) or there are just tons of other football guys these kids see on TV (if that's what's important here) who aren't affiliated with a main rival.

(A) What makes you think those guys won't be there (B) It's hard to maintain a rivalry when we're not playing anymore (don't get me wrong, I still have burning hate in my heart for ND, but a lot of high schoolers may not perceive it as a big thing).  It's not like they have Galloway or Herbstreit there.

Are YOU forgetting they are still employed by ESPN?  Nobody that is actively working in sports media will be allowed by their employers to be used by Michigan.  I believe that is called "conflict of interest."  It's one thing to cover an event, it an entirely different matter to be part of the event.

Great then.  I guess that opens the potential guest list up a bit... Michigan guys who aren't actively employed by sports media.  Any of those people.  Literally any of them.

Tom Brady?  Yes.

James Earl Jones?  Yes.

Literally anybody else from James Earl Jones to Tom Brady?  OKAY!

But Lou Fucking Holtz?  I still don't get it.

I bet you he sways every single player that was about to sign at Michigan too.

Look, Harbaugh can get the greats to show up. Who wouldn't want to be affiliated with that. "Son, I don't care where they used to coach or play. I am going to get you the best tutors, instructors, coaches and players that I know of to help mold you into who you want to be."
