Okay, but what if we win out, beat Sparty and make the tournament?!!! Would Beilein get another year?!!!!

This feels like Brady Hoke's last year. Incredibly sad.

We need a change.

Unfortunately, it's not going to happen after this year. Knowing Warde/our Athletic Department in general, Beilein won't be let go unless he misses the tournament this year and next year.

Damn shame. I like John a lot, but it's clearly not working and there is no rational reason to think this will be fixed at any point in the next few years.

Total and utter stagnation. Can't blame fanbase for apathy.

Beilein being Hoke-like in showing loyalty to senior/older players no matter how badly they're playing. Irvin doesn't take care of the ball, plays "hero ball" way too much and honestly looks like he's regressed since his freshman year. He should've been benched a long time ago.

I was hoping a while ago when Beilein said something about benching veterans if they didn't improve he was referring to Irvin.

He's got a bit of what I call The Manny Harris Effect. Tries too hard to score, throws up terrible shots, and (to some degree) promotes an offense of standing around watching the ball. When Manny Harris was hurt (senior season?), the rest of the team stepped up in his absence and played much better as a team.

Not defending Beilein anymore cause, yes, I understand he recruited these guys... but the lack of ANY HEART on this team (outside of walton) is beyond embarassing. You could throw four of us out there with walton who would play 4 times as hard. These guys have zero fucking pride and zero fucking desire. Can't coach heart even if your John Wooden.

I said I was done watching this team but I keep coming back. And they make me regret that I did. 2 air balls to end the game was fitting

Honestly, they need to just move on from Irvin at this point.  If he's sick, injured, whatever, they need to run out with someone else and at least lose with people who are going to be here next year.  I am sure Irvin is a nice guy, but it's been 4 years of tease and nothing to really show for it.

I suspected we were going to the NIT regardless of what happened tonight but I'm still pissed.  And I'm not going to point to throwing out the records because this is a rivalry game.

This is not the first time a crappy ass, NIT at best bound team has had all their problems fixed by playing Michigan.  This is a continuing factor that seems endless.

I like Beilein as a person but no longer as a coach.  This is his 10th year here.  I'm sick of the shit performances against shit teams.

This program has peaked under Beilien.  Let's stop fooling ourselves in thinking anything but that.

while the rest of the team shrinks from the task. . . demoralizing. I have given this team and Beilein every benefit of the doubt this season while everyone else was lighting the torches and polishing the tines on their pitchforks but. . . I just had zero confidence once they went behind tonight that they were going to seize the reins and win it. I don't think Beilein did, either.

WTF was this effort tonight?   A shit OSU team, which can't shoot or take care of the ball, won this game just by outworking us.  Somehow, their NIT team wanted this game more than us.  That is pathetic.

yet somehow is a #1 or #2 option on this team?

Beilein teams are always Charmin soft...this one just also happens to be less talented than most of his other groups.

Time for a change.
