For a team that considers itself a "quality program." So if getting a beat up, malcontent player in the month of May is quality, then I am happy for them. I am so tired of this mirage in East Lansing.

If it's D Line the question isn't so much starts its how many downs did he play. I think the quality of grad transfers can depend a lot on the position. A position where there's only one or two slots on the field can have somebody pretty good trapped 2-3 spots down the depth chart (who therefore may want to transfer). Positions that already use a lot of bodies maybe less so. If for example you're a LB or D Lineman and are transferring because you aren't getting downs, it means that you're not even in the top 3-4 on the depth chart typically. Whereas a 2nd string QB or RB could be very good but just barely lost the competition to the first stronger.

They're an opponent.  A major opponent.  If you don't want to keep up on our opponents, you don't have to.  Hell, you don't have to read this blog at all.  But the personnel of our opponents is actually pertinent info to most of us.  I like to stay informed on our opponents.  If you don't want to hear about MSU, stop clicking on the fucking threads.

In a thread about Michigan season ticket holders buying away tickets in response to someone asking a question directly about seating in Ohio Stadium?

Yes, certainly.

Maybe I was wrong to complain about this thread. I guess it is useful info info for OT season. I apologize (Although the thread title itself is pretty stupid).

But if you're complaining about my comments in the other thread, you're way more wrong than I am.

then by your logic, a thread could be posted on every single opponent's graduate transfers?  I understand if Maryland lands a 5 star whom we were after, but every MSU grad transfer?   come on.   And I understand the "don't click on it" logic as well, but sometimes constructive criticism helps future threads.

It's not constructive criticism it is closer to immature whining when those who aren't interested can easily ignore it and when this information clearly relates to Michigan football. Also, it's plainly obvious many on this site value this info, so for another to want it gone is arrogant as hell.

Agree to disagree. This is a position of need for MSU and it's a kid who has been a contributor on a good team. This is not some random grad transfer. And it's the second most important team to us. I find this information important.

post looked interesting enough to read and I got to say I enjoyed seeing that whiney video. When we play them if the guy is a backup then, wouldn't having seen this video will add an extra bit of backstory merriment?

I think it would be weird if RCMB didn't have a thread about Lyons.  Knowing your opponents is a big part of being a sports fan.  This isn't one of those "Did you hear Draymond Green's comments after the Warriors game?' types of threads.  This is pertinent, on-field information that will potentially impact our game with them this fall.  That isn't being obsessed.  This is a team that has owned us who we're trying to beat on the road this fall.

Michigan recruited him out of high school, and he took a visit here. There wasn't a ton of mutual interest, it seemed. I don't think he'll have a huge impact at MSU. Nebraska has done a decent job of developing defensive linemen, but they couldn't get him to contribute much. I assume he'll be Just A Guy.

Nebraska lost a lot on the DL this year too, so his transfer was somewhat of a surprise.

According to Husker fans he would have started for them this year. His biggest issue has been health as he can't ever stay on the field, but according to Nebraska fans he's a solid player when he can.
