Pure speculation that was posted on 247 site.
I follow him on social media, and he hung out with some rough guys from Chicago, one being a rapper who just got locked up for gun possession!

FWIW guns and alcohol don't mix.
September 10th, 2015 at 4:41 PM ^
Where/when is that photo from? Guilt by association? In that photo he has neither in his hands.
September 10th, 2015 at 4:53 PM ^
I doubt that these guys were on thier way to church when this picture was taken. In LTTs twitter background you can see him wearing the same shirt. But then again these could just be LTT's fall guys.
September 10th, 2015 at 5:30 PM ^
a gangsta rap/drill "music" video (Not Safe For Work and Brain Cells):
LTT is in a couple of these vids.
September 10th, 2015 at 6:04 PM ^
That wasn't nearly as terrible as I braced myself for... Dat Bull.
He should have just asked Breezy to chill and be in his videos. Better rap and could have stayed out of drama over this video/picture. We don't really know if there is a connection yet at all so we are all just speculating that this is the issue.

with some rapper numbskulls who're holding guns and booze. If that's all he's done, you sit him down and read him the riot act, and maybe suspend him for a game—you don't boot him off the team just for that with no intermediate suspension.
September 10th, 2015 at 5:19 PM ^
you already read him the riot act. Or maybe you read the riot act with regard to such displays to your entire team? Don't know, but I suspect we will in a few days.
September 10th, 2015 at 5:24 PM ^
So LTT is into Drill Rap?
Talk about THE WORST category of rap... smh.
Thanks Chicago.

This morning Sam Webb spoke about it and said "getting kicked off the team will be the least of his worries right now." He wasn't divulging anything, but that's pretty ominous.
I'm sure he knows most of the story, as Sam is plugged in quite well to the program and these kids through recruiting.

Swell.
September 10th, 2015 at 2:53 PM ^
WHAT THE FUCK.
September 10th, 2015 at 2:56 PM ^
Wait, what?
He played in a game a week ago. What the hell did he do this past week?
Also sucks as when they wanted to do a weird 6 OL formation, he was the guy inserted as teh 6th OL. Damn, I was really really excited for his upside should he ever be able to achieve it.
September 10th, 2015 at 2:53 PM ^
Wow. Just wow.
September 10th, 2015 at 2:53 PM ^
How about some details, Nick? He played agasint Utah IIRC.

For a false start penalty.\
FUCK! SON OF A BITCH! We lose our backup LT.
Grant Newsome - YOU are the future.
*sidenote - I'm freaking out, but smart Money was on Newsome over LTT when the time game anyway. And now with the guys in the '16 class, we should be fine. Just means Newsome will play this year. Maybe Saturday.
September 10th, 2015 at 3:11 PM ^
Have Cole and Magnuson this year and next. The backup/injury situation is now critical. From all accounts JBB is not ready so its Bars or Glasgow. If its Glasgow you need Kugler to be ready to be a C.
It hurts in 2017 when all these guys save Cole are gone. LTT was the supposed starting tackle and now we are going to be throwing out a bunch of rs fr and rs so ...again. Sigh. It never ends.
September 10th, 2015 at 3:14 PM ^
Mason Cole is the starting LT - and he's younger. LTT was likely never going to be the starting LT.
September 10th, 2015 at 3:18 PM ^
I remember reading somewhere that Cole's long term ideal position was on the interior. Once LTT could be coached up to replace Cole, Cole could slide inside to a position that better fits his size/skill set.
At least, that's what I've read was the plan.
September 10th, 2015 at 4:33 PM ^
But a true freshman in Grant Newson was already stealing reps away from LTT.
And he didn't enroll early.
If we're assuming that LTT was going to replace a 2 year starter at LT. I think we can assume that Newsome was going to replace LTT at the pace he was progressing up the depth chart.
That's all I'm saying.
This isn't a freakout situation, IMO, it sucks...no question about it. It hurts, this isn't me trying to sugarcoat. However, by this time next year if Newsome keeps progressing at his current pace. He could easily be your backup LT with a highly touted true freshman coming in right behind him in Swenson.
September 10th, 2015 at 5:50 PM ^
didnt you just type "im freaking out" in previous post?
just kidding
September 10th, 2015 at 3:57 PM ^
Kugler is a junior, so if he's not ready this season....
September 10th, 2015 at 5:22 PM ^
He's got 2 more years after this.
And what are you talking about "if he's not ready this season?" He's got arguably the best player on the OL starting in front of him.
We can't assume he sucks or won't play because Graham Glasgow is playing over him. Especially because you only play one center.
When we play OL too early we bitch about talent and depth. They start as a RS Junior and they're no good. Sigh.
September 10th, 2015 at 3:10 PM ^
was one of those players that I really wanted to succeed. Just because of the way he committed with the burning of the OSU letter and all.
Whatever happened, I hope it's not life ruining for anyone.
September 10th, 2015 at 3:10 PM ^
Starters
Cole - Braden - Glasgow - Kalis - Magnuson
Backup
Newsome - Dawson - Kugler - JBB - Bars
First OG sub: Dawson
First OT sub: Bars
First C sub: Kugler (although Cole has worked out at C, and they may sub Dawson or Bars in and put Cole at C)
Again, 247Sports was reporting in fall camp that Newsome was already stealing reps with the #2's from LTT.
By next season, that spot very likely could've been his with LTT and Bars battling it out for the #2 RT spot.
We also have Swenson who's coming in as an OT and Bredeson who's an OG/OT combo ala Braden and Magnuson.
September 10th, 2015 at 3:13 PM ^
Cole didn't come out on those 2 plays. He moved to a TE position on the other side of the line to provide an extra blocker.
September 10th, 2015 at 3:14 PM ^
This is my fault.

Not to get all panicky, but that could be bad.
September 10th, 2015 at 3:05 PM ^
Considering he played on Thursday, and one Thursday later its kick rocks time, yeah its probably bad.
September 10th, 2015 at 3:11 PM ^
How so? They kicked him off. That's 100% of what they can do.
September 10th, 2015 at 3:22 PM ^
Bad for M. Bad for someone else involved.
September 10th, 2015 at 3:52 PM ^
You don't go from playing time and on the depth chart to on the streets in a matter of days unless you've done something bad enough that does not warrant a second chance or suspension. Generally those things put the player and university in a bad light.

there's another scholarship

I'd rather have the partially-seasoned lineman.

It all started with the white pants for the road games. We'll be wearing those things in November FFS.
If the HC is willing to break fashion rules like that, it's no wonder the team is running amok. They'll probably start knocking off banks next.
