One hell of a journey for that man. Hope he has a little success there and can find a bigger job. Love the MAC but he has developed some damn good qb's and probably deserves a shot at his own team one day. Wish him all the luck. ( but he better lose to toledo every year they play.. go rockets)

He and Addazio didn't exactly make sweet music together at UF.
Don't know who's to blame, but the Gators had some of the worst quarterback play I saw all last year.

he's the worst OC I've ever seen. He had two of the fastest players in college football and did nothing but run them straight into the line every play.

This is a great step for him, It's his first OC gig. Kick ass in the MAC and in a couple of years he can get into the BCS leagues. I'd love to see him back in AA in a few years.

Hell if he kicks ass for most of one year in the MAC he could come be our coach in a few years! Just so long as he doesn't bring up salary in the interview.

Yet more notable about Loeffler is that it was he who Lloyd Carr chose, over Jim Harbaugh, as the QB coach, back in 2002. And the motivations for it, I still wonder. Am not knocking Loeffler at all, but it is telling that Carr had not a single Head Coach worthy candidate on his staff that he hired. Moeller hired Hoke by the way. Bo had what, seven head coaches on his staff? Moeller, Miles, Carr, McCartney, Larry Smith, Nehlen, and one other I'm missing.

Back in 2002, Loeffler had more coaching experience than Harbaugh. No one could have anticipated Harbaugh's career trajectory (which, incidentally, probably wouldn't have happened had he come here).

Did I make this up, or did Loeffler create the Capital One Bowl offense we saw for Lloyd's last game? I vaguely remember it but couldn't be wrong. If he did, I would've loved to have him as our OC because they did werk (yes, I know they had NFL talent too, but the play calling was great).

Mike DeBord was the OC for the Capital One Bowl game. Go figure!

My gripe with Carr was always that he had the talent but was too conservative on offense. All we needed to do was continue with that more open approach. Instead, we blew up the entire offense. Oops.

Good for him, he has come a long way from the party life on 4th floor Adams in West Quad. Interesting side note, everyones favorite sports writer Michael Rosenberg also lived on that hall in 1993. Though he never talked to anyone and rarely poked his head out of his single room at the end of the hall.
