1000 burpees for everybody else.
December 3rd, 2013 at 11:13 PM ^
he's playing hard, but I still don't think he's good. There is a reason he's able to score on Duke while Mitch and Nik have not been able too. He's also a brutal defender, worse than THJ who got lost quite a bit.
December 3rd, 2013 at 11:19 PM ^
What is that reason?

misread your post and now seem unable to edit. Just ignore the above, since you were clearly talking about his effort level.

Yes let's hope he throws his team under the bus in the media. That'll get them going.

It's acknowledging that they are nowhere near where they need to be. They are not a typical Beilein team. They are inconsistent shooters, they are stagnant on offense, they are sloppy with the ball, and today they lacked energy. It's abominable to think that these guys are wearing the same uniform Zach Novak once did. Where was the emotion?
I love the fact that Beilein is not a barking dog like Izzo, but sometimes you need to get tough. Look at Coach K tonight. Benched Sulaimon for the entire game to send a message. Maybe you do that with GRIII.
And as much as we love Stauskas, he needs an attitude check as well. High-fiving the fan isn't cute; it shows that your head is not in the game. You should be focused on breaking free of the glove that Tyler Thornton has you in instead of pandering for the cameras

The technical has been our best play this game.

This would be true if we'd make both free throws.

Despite being up 16 late, god I hate Duke.
Offense has just been so disjointed tonight, hope the b-ball season doesn't turn into a massive disapointment like the football season. Still time to get things straightened out, but clearly Burke's loss is a huge problem right now. If this team is going to improve McGary and Robinson have to become larger focal points and be more agressive.

Duke will just shit the bed in the tourney in the round of 16 like they do every year.

Boy what I'd give to play this game a year ago. It would've felt so good stomping their faces in at Cameron.
December 3rd, 2013 at 11:17 PM ^
game is over man. let it go.

This basketball team is garbage this year. Book it now, they will NOT make tourney this year.

Ok thanks for the update

It is a bit premature to write this team off. They clearly have some things that need to get straightened out, there is still time to do that though. This is not college football where a couple of losses can ruin your whole season.

I have seen garbage -- hell, I live in New York -- and this team is not garbage.
December 3rd, 2013 at 11:20 PM ^
Dukie V said one intelligent thing...it's stupid for Maryland to go the B1G
December 3rd, 2013 at 11:21 PM ^
hopefully, that kid improves his D and gets consistency with his shot. he is sorely needed. unfortuneately, GRIII, morgan and horford are what they are. i don't anticipate any improvement from those guys.

Attempt to calm everyone down: Duke hasn't lost in Cameron in 12 years against non-conference teams. Michigan is young. Stauskas did not look 100% tonight. This team will improve, all of Beilein's teams do. Two years ago they started conference play 1-6 and still made the tourney. Coach can turn them around and I think he will. Michigan was probably overrated to start the year but they will be about a 20-25th ranked team. I believe all will be fine.
December 3rd, 2013 at 11:45 PM ^
But this was really a disappointing performance. If I had not watched the game and saw "oh, Michigan lost by 10" I would have probably just blamed it on Cameron and youth.
But the team looked so...bleh. Very discouraging
December 3rd, 2013 at 11:23 PM ^
Team didn't play well at all. Still would've been nice to have those 5 points off the board in the first half...
